Hartford Concert:

Went to the Hartford concert with my sister-in-law last night and had a BLAST!!!

We had seats in one of the upper sections, but still had a great view of the stage. I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy the performances of most of the idols. The most surprising for me was Lil's. She put on a good show!

Up until intermission, it was ok, this is nice, clap for the performances, but nothing exciting. After intermission, Allison really ramped up the energy in the house. Between her high energy singing and her dancing, she got things moving. Danny Gokey was next and was better than I thought he was going to be, but he was just a prelude for what I wanted to see last night! Adam!!!!!!! I saw him about a week and a half ago in NYC on GMA. Yes, I got up VERY early, took the train into the city and stood in line in Central Park to get into the Park. It was SO worth it - we were only about 100 ft away from the stage so we got to see really well! Much better than last night! But, anyway, back to last night... Adam came out and SANG! I loved the combination of listening to him and seeing him move with the songs. After reading a comment that someone made last week about the sensuality of his performances and was it over the top, I was really paying attention to how he interpreted each of the songs that he sang. I can only say that it was awesome!!!!! I can't believe that my appreciation for his talents continues to grow when I didn't think that I could possible love him any more!!! He is just unbelievably amazing!!!!!

After Adam, what is there to say... Chris came out and "sang". So many people were leaving. I only hope that they were leaving to get in line for the M&G after the show. If not, even though I'm not a Chris fan, I think that it's super rude!

Anyway, Adam was the highlight of the night and I wouldn't have missed it for the world!!! I'm so glad that I got tickets and got to see him in concert!!! Would it have been nice to be front row center? Sure, but we can't all be there!

Oh, PS to the person who wrote about her front row experience last night. After Adam wore the boa around the stage, he threw the boa back to the audience. An older woman in the front row wore it for the rest of his set. I didn't pay attention to it after that.

tlnno!
