Whisper on the Wind:

I was asked to start a thread after I posted my thoughts on another thread.
I wasn't going to - we already have a thank you thread.
But I guess the vain part of me is very flattered to be asked, and so, here I am, once again!!

In a former thread ( 'Why I'm a Fan section), I stated that Adam's voice was 'like a whisper in the wind.... and built itself into a thunderous electrical storm, settling itself down on that cresendo of the rainbow that only he can do'.
That was my first concert. My only concert.
One will last me a lifetime if that is how it is meant to be for me.
But, thanks to the kindness of Adam's fans, I devoured each and every dinnershow... each and every youtube performance... I was hungry for the next one before the last one ended!!

I am amazed that Adam just finished performing 72 times. His first solo tour, and he performed 72 times.
Each show was different in some way. His ability to create unique nuances for each location is unbelievable. I am truly in awe.

Some nights were hot and steamy. He turned them into sizzling desire.
Some nights were cold and frosty. He turned them into sex in front of the fireplace on a bearskin rug.
He went over and above what was expected of him.... he gave his 100% each night, and some nights waaaay over that!

He made us laugh, he made us cry... he held us together over the summer - whether he was singing from a swimming pool in Vegas, a Balloon Festival in Montreal, a slaughter house in Texas, or a bridge in Des Moines!
He turned them all into master class concert halls, inviting us into the boudoir in the back after the show!

He loved us. He made love to us. He whispered our names, he sang our song, he caressed our souls.
He gave us laughter, heart, courage, and an honesty that we celebrated after each and every performance.

He kissed Tommy. He danced with Brooke. He tongue-dived the audience. He chased away security guards who were in our way, blocking our view. He ate bugs.
All while he was performing.
He never once complained. He smiled, and laughed, and enjoyed each performance for its own sake. Because he enjoyed us. He loved and responded to the glowing sea of light in the crowd, as he 'thanked us for loving him'.

This is a man who could sing for Kings and Princesses, Presidents, Princes and Heads of State.
But he was content to sing for us.
His voice can be heard from the highest mountain.
Yet, like a whisper on the wind, he sang to those of us who could not make the climb.
And, in doing so, he brought us with him.
To the highest mountain, the widest sky, the brightest star.

There is a legend of a Dragon. From high upon a mountain top, he pursued his dream, the shining pearl of the moon. It seemed unattainable, but each evening, when the moon came out to shine, he was there, chasing and leaping into the night sky. The people in the village below came out each evening to watch, in wonder, as the Dragon danced.
One night he caught it. He brought his prize back to his lair, to savour the treasure that was finally within his grasp.
But there was something missing; and one magical night, he let it go, back to the sky, suspended forever in the Universe, to shine and illuminate the world once again.
And the Dragon came out again to play and leap into the twinkling stars, as the village once again stopped to watch in awe and wonder.
For the joy was in 'The Dance'.

Thank you, Adam. This has been an amazing summer, you are an amazing human being.
Thank you for sharing yourself with us.
May the Universe protect you and keep you safe, as you prepare to share your gift, your presence; your Dance with the World.
We will be here, waiting for you when you come back. We'll be your 'Whisper on the Wind', rocking you to sleep each night, keeping you safely in our arms, and holding you closely in our hearts.

Take good care of him, World.
