@panther, since the Castle is closed and this thread fast becoming a playground and magnet for trolls and discontents with multiple accounts, it is now locked for replies. If you decide to re-open at some point with the original OP you can post a request in the Official Feedback/Moderation thread and someone will unlock it for you.
Orange - I'm always flabbergasted by someone who feels the need to call out something that is obviously harmless. You don't like a particular brand of role playing, and can't see the sentiments behind it, fine. But you must lead a pretty miserable existence to make a point to come here and show your derision. Don't waste your time if you're so above it.
Edit: Hey, Flash, I thought that was your job to get rid of trolls. This thread was 99.9% positive and you're shutting it down due to discontent? And why would you care if someone has multiple accounts? Is that against the rules?

@annar...I can attest to the fact that nobody was ever turned away from the castle. I was welcomed warmly after lurking for two years... You would never have intruded, you would have been welcomed with open arms. I can't and won't give up.

I am sad and shocked to see this. I too was not a member of the castle but lurked occassionally. The door was open after all, and it was hard to ignore its magnificance! A time or two I got lost among all the wonderful treasures. I didn't visit much as I didn't want to intrude, but took for granted its existance and thought that it would always be there. It was a place where you were sure to find great things. The castle was a large and important part of this site's character. I don't really understand what happened to bring things to this point but hope that the next thread I see about the castle will be "Back By Popular Demand..." I am sorry that the members of the castle are experiencing this turmoil. I hate to see a part of this great fan community lost.

The Minion pet should be protected.
There are many reasons why, so I won’t get into all of them. But I will mention the most serious ones:
Pugs and strangers do mix, but that isn’t always good for the Pug. Pugs might get lost, Pugs could get kidnapped, and Pugs may get excited when they see a stranger and lose sight of potential threats.
Stay close to the Castle. You are watched over as you keep watch.

You were one of THE foundations of AO, so many memories here and it is sad news indeed. So many of you have lent your support in other threads, yet it doesn't seem like enough to lend support to you now, like "too little too late", but whatever happened - I did read back so I get a sense of it - know that the Castle can never be torn down. Keep those torches burning, Minions!!

But at this point I don't care because I have read many ugly rants and opinions on other threads that were not "closed". This banning is not what Adam is all about. The silent "majority" are "silent" based on cowardice. The supportive posts in here have been from long time members and not from anonymous sources. And picking on a pooch? What's next, stealing candy from a toddler? Yeah, you're tough.
(Pugs, I know even the most good natured canine is capable of tearing flesh, so you didn't need me to stick up for you. It's just so funny how some spiteful people have called the minions bullies, yet someone comes in here to make a point against them and in the process bullies.)

Oi, I disappear from AO for 2 weeks and the castle crumbles and I wasn't even a 'member'! I will always treasure the support I found when my youngest grandson was born with a broken heart. I found comfort, solace and that warrior's spirit that reflected my Quinn's personality and still does! I will miss seeing this thread, I truly will. I rarely posted, mostly lurked. I hope that the decision to dismantle the building left that stone foundation. As you know, stone foundations last centuries and are easily rebuilt on, stronger than before. I do not know what happened, I don't want to know. You will be missed minions(and pet), but are always always always welcome where ever you land.
I have been gone from this site for a short time, and I have no clue what happened to have the castle close its doors. I am deeply saddened by this; I have always had a FIERCE respect for the minions. This place just wouldnt be the same without them. Much love and light to all of them. I love Adam and all his fans.

From the beginning, my home on AO has been the Concert Thread but I remember coming into the Castle back in 2009 and requesting to be the One In A Million Minion. I'm not sure my request was ever granted but I know I thought the Castle was filled with very imaginative people who fiercely supported Adam and each other. I also remember Castle members throwing their support to the Concert Thread in our times of need and we there greatly appreciated it. I tried to read back a bit to see why the doors are closed here but really didn't get a clear picture. There aren't many of us old threads left on AO. Hate to see the end of this era. Izzy, you are very sweet. I will visit the palace but I cannot join..the castle is my home, to me it would be saying that the minions will never come back, that the castle will never reopen. I iz the beloved pet of the minions, the nipper of the dragons heels....my puggy heart believes they will come back to me or for me. Until then, I will scamper through AO as always,( I adore my master's fans) but will come back to lie at the castle door (my home) and wait for the return of my beloved minion mistresses. I believe.

Want to make sure I am understood--with some of the major threads-- "The Castle" and the
fans who made this a home for our love of the DLS, fear is... we could see the end of an era.
Please don't let this happen! Adam will continue to grow and be that huge STAR we all believe

i've just read some but still have no idea what specifically lead to this collapse -- tho having been around awhile, and having a fairly good imagination, i think i can extrapolate. very disheartening.
i also was a lurker there, but regardless -- they were diehard fans who, like so many others, brought their own unique spin to how they chose to celebrate and support the DL. there've been many losses on AO, i feel this one quite acutely as i've been in that frame of mind for some time -- and the castle's been a fixture here from the beginning. i can't simply say one door closes and another opens -- as that of course, from a certain perspective, is always the case. but doors, like people, are not all alike. i think it's best to acknowledge the loss -- but wish as well that there were some way to open a conversation about the "problem" here and make some headway. i don't see any talk of that -- wh i also understand . . . and therein lies a big part of the (ongoing) problem . . . imo
minions i hope you return, even if it's in some reincarnated state, without your castle, but still with your personalities strong and intact. this is a community -- and the more it is splintered, the weaker it becomes.

I, like a few others, was not a regular attendee of the Castle. I only popped in a few times during its tenure.
I posted this on the other new thread link, and it's what I think and feel:
"You know, there have been several 'gathering places' for like-minded Adam Fans. The Indigo Teepee for one. Whatever reason the Castle crumbled, of sorts, perhaps Afans will never know; but in all reality, you can't keep a bunch of feisty Adam Knights down for long.
Long live the minions of all of the AO threads!"

*licks for izzy* I understand your sadness honey, the castle cannot be replaced. Should the minions choose, it could be reopened but it is for the minions to decide. Just like a house is not a home until it is filled with family, the castle cannot be the castle without the spirit and love of the minions who resided here. My master is all about freedom of expression, individuality, fun both naughty and nice; the minions embrace this same spirit. Unfortunately, it seems this freedom is no longer valued on AO.
The minions will never forsake the DLS, they will find a new home where they can be, well, they can be minions in all the glory and fabulousness that makes them minions.

Though I was not a member here and only posted here maybe twice, it still gave me great comfort to see the Castle on the front page and to know there were a bunch of dedicated Adam Lambert fans here on AO. And I always, always, enjoyed reading your posts when you joined the other threads. You are the backbone of AO and AO needs you! Please reconsider and come back!

I gotta say, I'm sad and I don't think this was handled very well. A lot of Minions like me knew that some of us were choosing to leave, but showed up here to post and found that the doors were closed and locked forever and we were suddenly "homeless" Minions. I had no idea the entire Castle was going away and it'll never be the same.
I have to say with all the attacks on the castle in the past, and all the times the minions rebuilt, withstanding the onslaught from the outside, I don't understand what on earth could have caused the minions to close it now? breaks my heart ..... Like Weezle I would sneak in and lurk in the basement to observe the minions at play and loved how devoted they were to DL and each other...such big hearts and so much crazy mischievousness fun going on in here. I felt as long as the castle stood strong all would be well on AO despite any changes going on outside that often were disturbing. I remember the early fun days when the minions would come out of the castle to rescue a good thread from the invasion of trolls, or turn a vicious thread started by a troll into a fun positive thread as a way of getting rid of those nasties. I also fondly remember their rescuing underlings from unnecessary bullying when there were no mods to handle the situation. Yes, they rescued me one day early on when I was shy and unsure about commenting and another member misread my innocent post and went after me. I have only fond memories of the castle and its occupants, and knew when pugs was mia this was the place to go to be sure she was ok as she always stayed here when DL was away and she could not be by his side. I hope some of the minions find it in their hearts to somehow stay and reopen the castle as AO has always been my home....and always will be.... but it is also the home of the minions....it just would not be the same without them....too many good people are missed already...I don't want that list to grow.....
