Gay American Idol star Adam Lambert has admitted going “a little too far” with his controversial American Music Awards performance.
The flamboyant singer confessed he got “carried away” when he simulated oral sex with a male dancer and kissed his male keyboard player on stage.
The incident sparked outcry in the US and led to another planned TV performance being cancelled.
Lambert told chat show host Ellen DeGeneres: “I was like, ‘I'm going to try something a little risqué now.'
