Adam Lambert Potential Benny for
American Idol Runner-Up might just be the star to stud "Shades of Luz" when the book goes film. John Gorman, author of the novel is proactively considering options.
The author said, "I want to find somebody read-made and perfect for the part. I have a few ideas. Adam Lambert actually would be a good Benny. His singing style is all over the place like Benny's mind. You got to give props to a guy who can put out songs that bridge the gap between Depeche Mode and Queen."
The book has only been out a month, so has anybody on this forum read it yet? This is exciting for Adam to get a mention in the literary world and movie world in one shot. To just be considered for the role and by the author himself is a pretty big honor. It was the 1st name thrown out, as if he had Adam in mind when creating the character almost. Here's the article:

Too bad Johnny Depp already landed the Alice in Wonderland lead role - Adam woulda been PERFECT! Actually, Johnny Depp and Adam would be SOOO good together in a movie bouncing/feeding off each other, wouldn't they? I think Johnny has such a creative/artistic bent with such terrific comedic timing and acting ability.
Adam would be be a natural in the movie realm, and I could EASILY see him in the next Twilight movie as a vampire (he's already setting that up by being a Glampire for Halloween - so there will be coverage galore of Adam in camera-ready vampire mode). I'd love to see him as a romantic lead playing a straight man (so we ladies can fantasize more).
I just wanna watch him kiss somebody - he's so freakin' sexy and passionate - even when he was fake kissing the green witch in Wicked as Fiyero. He looks like he's the best kisser on earth - and we've already seen that tongue in all its glory while singing - I want MORE tongue action to watch.
Oh, and I INSIST on seeing those thighs o' his (please)!

oh yeah, he'll be considered for a lot and unlike a lot of people who try to cross between media's we KNOW already he can act!!! so its a no brainer really,
also Adam has said he'd love to do jesus christ superstar and play judas and the actor that played prince caspian had said recently he would love to do that movie musical as well and said he'd like to play jesus and have adam lambert play Judas!!

When an author openly hints at who should play his characters, you can bet the studios are listening. Besides, who else is better at multitasking than our boy.
haven't read the book, but in the link BARBLS posted it sounds interesting. Adam could make any part good even a stuffed animal seller.
Oh, I would NOT mind that! We'd get to stare at him for like an hour and a half!! And seeing him act..ughh AMAZING. I hope he turns to acting (on the side of course)..

The character Benny sounds like he does alot of different things, like Adam. I would like to see Adam play him.

everybody jump on the adam bandwagon! the producers of both 2012 n mj movie r going to have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more people seeing movies just because of adam. i'm sure there r plenty of adam fans who wouldn't have seen those movies at all otherwise. also will boost 2012 soundtrack a lot, especially if they don't put tfm on adam's album.
