Intonation of voice, body language and facial expression are all not present. It is, therefore, easy to see how these words can be misinterpreted. What the author implies is not always what the reader infers. And we can't see each other walk away from the conversation in disgust or raise an eyebrow or any such thing to see that this has happened. I can only speak for myself in saying that I never will intentionally insult anyone on this board. I truly believe in the live and let live philosophy and that everyone's opinions are relevant and deserve to be heard whether or not they are aligned with my own. Clearly the members of this board are diverse in their backgrounds and beliefs and if we can achieve harmony amongst ourselves that is a beautiful thing.
