Adam Lambert Signs to 19 Records & RCA Records!
American Idol season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert has been signed to 19 Recordings and licensed to RCA Records. He is preparing to start work on his debut album which is due for release in fall 2009.

"There are no longer any rules in terms of where the world's next superstars may come from," says Barry Weiss, Chairman & CEO RCA/JIVE Label Group. "We are thrilled to be getting involved with Adam Lambert as we all at RCA Records believe he is one of those rare, future global stars".
"I'm thrilled that we've come to a creative and collaborative partnership and look forward to developing a really exciting album," says Lambert. "We are 100% on the same page and are all anxiously awaiting the start of the recordings. It's going to be ridiculous! Get Ready!!!"
27 year old Lambert, who hails originally from San Diego, CA, had 4 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart earlier this summer. With his masterful interpretation of "Mad World" leading the way, he also charted with "No Boundaries", "A Change Is Gonna Come" and "One."
Lambert, will be recording his album over the summer while on the road with the American Idol's Live tour. The tour kicks off July 5th in Portland, OR and culminates on September 15th in Manchester, NH.

"Want" has been released in on the US iTunes...exactly what adam didn't want to happen...bummer, 'cause he's saying it's nothing on his real music, and then it's released and people will be thinking that it actually is...
just a side-note, if anybody here on the site could like, scan and upload Adam's RS cover and the inside and all, that would be hugely wonderful, as over here, we can't buy it, and i'd love to see it!!!

I grew up in the 70's and I have all of the records of the great artist of this era, which include ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Neil Young , Al Stewart, Jim Croce, Moody Blues, Bread just to name a few. I haven't bought any album since that era , because there was no one that could stand up to their talent until now. Adam , You Have It. You have me captivated. I am so proud of you for being yourself. You have given all of us hope.
If you could get permission from Neil Young to do his song Heart of Gold and to maybe do some of the songs that Jim Croce used to do , especially in your style of however you want to design them, it would be fantastic. Matter of fact, any song that you want to sing I will listen to and buy. GO FOR IT ADAM and I will always be your fan!!!

I've written so many blogs and adjectives to describe our super, super star, icon Adam. I can only repeat the best ones - Adam is mesmerizing, intoxicating and hypnotic. I fell in love with him the first time he performed. I immediately told my daughter, you have to watch AI and see this guy. Well, she thought her mother lost her mind as I have not been interested in any performer since my teens and never ever to the degree that I immediately felt for our Rock god Adam. Well, needless-to-say, guess who is completely off her rocker now and so totally obsessed with him. We live in San Diego and got some pretty good seats in the fourth row floor section A at the Sports arena. We are counting the days. Absolutely cannot wait for his DVDs. I love watching him perform. I haven't bought any recordings since I was a teen. Hopefully, some day he will have a weekly program (in my old age) and perhaps see him in the movies. Cannot wait. Thank you Adam. You have given us so very much joy and happiness as we squeal and scream watching you. We appreciate all of your talents and your humility, sweetness and impish sense of humor and OM-G, your sexiness, sensuality -- FO-GET-A-BOUT-IT!!!!!!!! Congratulations Adam! Adam has the most amazing vocals and rock the house performance! I like both his studio and AI performance versions. So I bought both versions of all his music. After finale, I can't help myself and I bought his album. Now I have three copies of each his song + Is Anybody Listening. I know for sure I will buy at least two copies of his coming album. One for my laptop and one for my car. Adam is that good!!

I bought all the studio version of the songs Adam performed in AI, and felt something was missing. So, I bought all the live performances too. He expressed the songs a little differently in the two versions, and both were brilliantly done! I love the video even when he just sat in the middle of the stage and sung (the first Mad World performance in AI)!
Just a helpful hint...iTunes still has several of his acual AI videos available for downloads. It's 1.50 each...I think I saw all of his performances listed as available.
We really must have a DVD to appreciate the whole package that is ADAM. I have all of the studio versions that I play when in my car, but I picture him the way he looked on Idol when he sang each song. He has such charisma that a CD will only be half the experience.
And I am certain that all his fans will buy both. RCA, are you listening?
I was just watching the videos I bought from ITunes of your performances, and I am 65 years old and I have not seen or heard anyone reach those high notes except for the late Freddie Mercury of Queen. I hope to see you performing with Queen again, and I look forward to RCA recordings and VIDEOS of you next fall.
You are SO talented my lad, and I am a huge fan. I read the comments about your not winning the Idol, and I was sad at first you did not win, BUT on second thought, I am GLAD you did not win because you can be FREE to sign any recording or video deals you choose and not be saddled by Idol rules like Kris will be now, and also if it were NOT for Idol, we would never have had a chance to see your great talent, and because of Idol, your a household name now. You will go far in this music business and be an international music star! Stay focused on your music and all will be great in your future.
RCA: When Adam's CD is ready for buying in the fall, please also make a DVD. Otherwise, how are we going to SEE him perform. Not only has he a fabulous voice, but we all love to watch him and see what he is wearing, and watch him move. A DVD PLEASE!
Adam is going to be so big! I loved seeing him on Idol giving a million percent every single week and just blowing the roof off the place! I'm so excited about your album and I just can't wait. In the meantime...I never, ever tire of listening to your whole AI season, with videos, over and over and over. Sometimes, with other music I love, I eventually hit a saturation point, where the music loses its impact, and I have to put it to rest. Not yours....it's magical and mysterious, the way I can listen to the songs and feel as though I am hearing them for the first time. I have memorized every nuance, every movement that goes with each song, from the way your lip curls up as you sing Very Very, in A Mad World, to the way you point to the crowd in One, to the way you get down on your knees and lean back in Born to Be Wild. It's like I've gotten to know you personally -- every inch of you. Keep up the good work and enjoy your journey to super stardom, and more than that, please, please never change your sweet, sensitive and humble ways. How cool is this that Adam got the cover of RS within a month of AI? Too cool. This man is electric. I bought 3 copies. Love the article and the cover is fabulous. The colors with the green & black and his jewelry, love his scarf & bracelets. This man is incredible. So deservant to be in the position he is in. Its so invigorating to watch him develop Adam. He is so unique and different and vocally in the range of such singers as Bryan Ferry, Freddie Mercury with a mix of Axl Rose. He is so now and today and original it kills me. We all have been waiting for a young gifted artist such as him to come around for a long time now. Most artists his age are common and afraid to throw things against the wind. Not Adam. He entrances people with his charisma and humbleness. He is the artist most women have dreamed of and he has brought peoples dreams back to life by watching him on AI. Rolling Stone is very smart for supporting him. I believe this man is truly an icon in the making. Thank you Adam for us discovering you.
After reading Rolling Stone, and watching 20/20 tonight, I am more impressed with our Adam than ever. He is so smart to recognize that sexual attraction is so variable and there is no limit to ways it can be expressed. He radiates sex appeal because he feels sexy.
His album is going to revolutionize our music just as Elvis an the Beatles did in the past. They had a major impact on our culture and clothing, as well as our hair styles. Well I'm ready. I believe Adam can already be listed along side legendary greats and he isn't even a legend as of yet. He is truly as good if not better though than our most famous icons. I believe he is one of the most talented performers I have ever seen and definately exciting with a fresh anewed talent that is already seasoned. He is absolutely amazingly talented in a way we've never seen before. Quite simply he is one of a kind! And I might add that Elvis was a one of a kind too.
