Bound By Total Devotion:

The memories of my whirlwind of a weekend will remain alive in my mind forever. I mean, when a majority of said whirlwind revolves around Adam Lambert, how CAN you forget??

My journey began immediately after work on Friday, June 4th; cursing and yelling at the forever traffic impeding my ETA to Planet Fierce. No worries! I made it from Long Island NY to Wilkes-Barre PA just in time to catch most of Allison's set and all of Orianthi's! The stressful ride messed me up, needed a second to breathe, ya know... but I had plenty of time to do so while enjoying these talented ladies before Sir Glam took the stage.

Finally the moment came! The super-exciting anticipation-filled adrenaline rush! Gasp!! This was it!! What I had been waiting for for WEEKS!! When those lights went out and the "For Your Entertainment" remix started blaring in the theatre, my heart started pounding!

I was on my feet screaming, "Ohh, do you know what you got into?" with the rest of the audience; watching that stage like a hawk and waiting for a glimpse of The One. I was about half way back, so I was also waiting for cues from the Glamily up closer to the front. Where was he!??!

Then FYE stopped. A giant moon appeared on the screen and there it was... the voice of an angel. That intoxicating, mellifluous voice of charm and love. "Voodoo!" Bound by total devotion. And it was like nothing else existed in the world for the next hour. He IS the allure and the sanctuary.

The hat was insanely Mardi-Gras fab! The long, fringed jacket? Um, he owned it! The pants? Nice and tight! He did two songs before the jacket came off. The crowd roared.

And oh, what a tease! After getting us all hot and riled up with some sexiness, he played with our emotions and slowed it down. My goodness gracious, this boy... we all KNOW he can sing anything, but you simply HAVE to hear it when he's in your physical presence. Ethereal. Unlike any other voice I've heard in my life. His changed up versions of "Soaked," "Aftermath," and the obligatory "Whataya Want From Me" were simply gorgeous. I stood there in awe of the beautiful person standing before us, pouring his heart out through the music.

Then it was back into sexy and playful Adam! Waving around a cane and seducing us with his voice and his strut. I was very excited that he did "Sure Fire Winners!" His dancers were fantastic and of course Monte, Tommy, Longineu, and Cam were impeccable. Glam Nation was all I expected and then some. Adam is one-of-a-kind.

And yes, he definitely did more songs than I mentioned! I just assume that if you haven't been to a show yet, you've probably at least watched the YouTube videos, read the blogs, or saw the photos. This is more just my sort of musings and gushing on the whole weekend!! Every song was love.

After the show, I met up with some new friends whom I'd met from fan sites and Twitter (and they honestly felt like old friends pretty quickly because of our glittery common interest)!

Sleep was intermittent; largely from giddiness. Plus, I had to leave early the next morning to get back to New York for work! Most of my day Saturday was spent on an adrenaline and caffeine high! I was so wired from Adam's show, I couldn't even nap when I tried. Again, broken up (maybe "Broken Open?") sleep.

And then it was up early again Sunday, June 6th for a trip upstate to KFEST for even more Adam!! (It's an annual show that a radio station, K104, does every year). There were tons of other cool artists there, too! Adam of course, the man of the hour, closed the show!!

To make a long story short (because I'll talk all day! Hell, I get PAID to talk, so don't think I won't, lol), we had a blast!!! And although it WAS a long day and I was going on hardly ANY sleep, I managed to maintain my energy and use it as directed when needed.

A KFEST sponsor was handing out those free fans. Ya know, cardboard on a Popsicle stick kinda thing? While sitting in the bleachers, I got crafty. Grabbed my pen and my friend's colored pen and wrote, "Adam makes me hot!" on the back. Yes, I waved it around during his performance. He probably saw it. Ha.

Back to that in a second... But our worries a few hours prior to him taking the stage?? The weather. Dark clouds kept creeping up. And it did rain briefly, but thankfully just enough to cool things off! No downpours, no thunder, no problem! And by 6PM when Sweet Thang took the stage, the sun was shining brightly! (We like to say that Adam brought the sun!)

I also find it amusing that on my daily quote calendar, the one for June 6th says, "Time falls asleep in the afternoon sunshine when the sky is blue, and the sun is huge and gold and warm. Share these moments with someone you love." Oh yes, I did! And this time, I was closer to the stage! And he was just pure angelic goodness. He did six songs! (Not a full set at a different kind of show like this). I got some delicious pictures! And when I say that it was worth all the traffic, sleep deprivation, sweating, and crowds, it was WORTH it! Every single glittery second.

And right now, as I write this... "outside the rain's pouring down, there's not a drop that hits me!" I'm simply smiling from ear to ear as I remember hearing that exquisite voice in concert TWICE in one weekend. And I will again in thirteen days! Spoiled.

I never thought I'd be the type of person to see multiple shows on the same tour and still feel like I need to see more! He has me embarking on this crazy, glamorous journey that I am definitely enjoying! Once he's in, he owns your heart for real. And you won't trip off the glitz--you'll fall.
