When I watched Adam on Ellen the other day it occurred to me, for no apparent reason, that it would be fun if Tommy got to play lead guitar some day. As fans know Tommy auditioned as lead, but Monte being an old friend of Adam's already had that place...fortunately, Tommy can play bass too.
At last night's concert in Mansfield MA I saw Tommy on the left hand side and another musician playing bass and immediately thought...Monte's twins must be about to be born. As the tweets confirm...it happened hours ago and so great that Tommy could "change sides" and play lead effortlessly.
It was so worth waiting through other groups that I had no interest in, to see Adam live for the first time. I was seated between a young boy ( 10 at the most) with his mom...a woman about my age ( 53) and her husband and everybody knew every lyric to every song and was singing it out.
Added visual treat to see Longienu ( sp?) shirtless!!
Despite the hour it took to get out of the parking lot, and the ground fire that was being put out right in front of where my car was parked...it was a blast.
