I went Sunday August 9th with my boyfriend. I have to say he has been very supportive towards me in my Adam obsession. LOL Poor man has to listen to me talk about Adam all the time, watch all the videos for hours and hours, he is very patient... He does enjoy listening to Adam, his voice is so great, who can complain about listening to that beautiful voice? He became a fan too. OK, so we planned for August 9th a long time. We couldn't get great seats because we had so many bills, you know how that goes... but I was so happy we got any tickets at all! I was going to see ADAM!!! The other contestants are nice enough people but we were only there for Adam, we normally go to concerts like Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Ozzy Osbourne, etc... ROCK CONCERTS! We arrived and got to our seats and my heart was racing a bit then, it was funny that on those big jumbotron screens every time Adam's picture appeared for about 2 or 3 seconds people were screaming! The suspense built up as the show started and they went from #10, #9, #8, so on, Danny Gokey just ended and I felt my heart pounding, then it happened, Adam was on stage and he started singing Whole Lotta Love, the crowd went WILD!!! I was so incredibly happy, I'm still stunned now thinking about it! I had binoculars and saw every move, VERY CLOSE, it was very nice. I love his personality,the way he looks, the way he moves, but my favorite thing that just got me mesmerized about him is that amazing voice! I was hearing Adam's voice live and in person, Adam was THERE!!! I have to say his voice sounds even better in person than on any recording or through any audio device. I was feeling the hairs on the back of my neck tingling and thinking, how does he do that with his voice? Its like,an opera singer uses vibratto and all that! I don't know all the technical terms for singing but I do know his voice is damn GOOD!!! He IS the greatest artist I've EVER seen or heard and I've been going to rock concerts since the early seventies!!! I saw David Bowie in the seventies singing the very same songs Adam sang and more but I can say I enjoyed seeing Adam Lambert MORE than seeing David Bowie !!! That night I enjoyed every moment Adam was on stage and was a little sad when it was over, it was only around 20 minutes...I already started saving up for tickets for his solo tour and also want to go to more than one show, as many as possible!!!

Countdown to Adam:

10- should have been Megan whatshername... shocked she even made the top 10 -- she seriously needs vocal lessons and stage presentation -- strolling in circles in a skintight dress and too much makeup doesnt cut it. if she plans to continue in a singing career. But Michael Sarver has a nice country voice and should be able to front a band. Limited range, and I am surprised at how much weight he gained.

8-Scott MacIntyre is a great pianist with a Bruce Hornsby kind of feel, but limited stage personality.
7-Lil Rounds, too, performed better than on the AI show. Improving stage persona... but she is not as good as many other AI singers -- cannot hold a candle to Jennifer Hudson, for example.
6- Anoop did a good job, he surprised us -- he's been rehearsing. c***tail Lounge act. Must get those eyebrows trimmed...
5-Matt Giraud has personality, talent, and improved confidence on stage. But he's no Justin Timberlake. Should aim to find his own bent, instead of the copied JT hat bit.
4- ALLISON! In any of the other seasons, she could have WON, what an awesome talent, personality, stage showwomanship, and is going to go FAR at only 17: Just plan for the future young lady, and dont get caught up in Hollywood ethics (unethics!)-- START WRITING YOUR OWN SONGS! Great set, though I would have liked to see her do another Heart song besides Barracuda -- or her styling of Bonnie Raitt -- I'd like to see her try kd lang...
3- DANNY! You should have been #2--- WHAT A VOICE!!! This guy has talent. And we were thrilled that (a) HE LOST WEIGHT and started LIFTING WEIGHTS... Nice guns and trim waist! He looked great. LOVED the Salsa dance bit, since that is a passion of his. He should have a great career ahead of him --
and then DRUMROLL... or FIREWORKS....

2-ADAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never has there been a more electric, compelling performer... who can sing anything, with heart, head, and hand... He is to this generation what Elvis Presley was to the FIfties. And his parents did a GREAT job with him and his brother... He has gratitude, humility, and charm... Yet can toss that aside to transform into Performer Extraordinaire...
He can do any style of music and make it his own... from Broadway to Cabaret to fronting a kickass rock band - He could even turn hiphop on its head... He not only learns a song, and sings it to perfection, but he adopts the song for its meaning, and interprets that feeling through his stage dynamism. CANNOT take your eyes off of him!!
Had Danny won the last contest with Adam, we'd have had a real challenge.
But instead, the disappointed Danny fans largely went for Kris...
To no disadvantage: Adam already has his star glowing... and a huge fan base, Congrats to him for the TEEN CHOICE award he just won... Grammys are next.

1- Kris... Ah, sorry, but that's when we left. Perhaps its heartless of us, couldnt do another Kris Heartless - We came solely for ALLISON DANNY and ADAM... Kris can do a country album and do OK, pleasant voice, but his interpretation of each song is nil -- He sings the same way each time, with a goofy side grin smiley thing he does...

Hats off to AI for an amazing stage show, with a fireworks effect without the danger... We were so happy to see David Cook win last year, he truly deserved it... Great Voice -- We never thought this season could top last year... BUT the moment we saw this goth-looking darkhaired punky guy open his mouth to sing Bohemian Rhapsody.... we were hooked!!! I dont see how we could ever watch AI again -- there is NO one to top ADAM LAMBERT!!!

Looking forward to his CD, and his own concert tour... Would love to see him do a little Broadway in NYC, just to give his voice a rest because it would be so easy for him... he would singlehandedly revitalize Broadway!!!

And I love that he has broken the gay barriers... that a wonderful, talented, charming, happy, personable young man is the kind of guy anyone would be proud to call son... and that young ladies have big crushes on him regardless of sexuality -- based on sheer talent!!! that s***e just shouldnt matter anymore.... ADAM, America needs you!!! Keep rockin'!!

I am a huge fan - travelled to NYC on 8/7 and to Newark on 8/8 -

a bit sad to see Adam wear earplugs when greeeting fans outside - yes, he smiled and signed autographs but it looked like he didn't want to be bothered to hear what we all had to say.

The concert was amazing! I went yesterday, and I was blown away by Adam's performance. I heard from a friend he didn't go to the meet and greet, though. Oh well. I said hi to Danny though, hehe.

I've seen a few people say they are from Montreal. Me too! I'll be going down with my family to see the show on the 9th. before Adam came along I never even thought about going to an Idol concert

I bought tickets the day they went on sale, for both NJ concerts: on the 8th in Section D, on the 9th in Section B. I just bought a new ticket for the Sunday show in the THIRD row in Section B!!!!!!!!! must be out of my mind as I cannot afford it!! But for Adam....anything is doable.

Are fans meeting anywhere PRE-concert? I saw a post on one fan site where people met at a Chili's beforehand and got to know everyone and it sounded like a cool idea!!

Also, anyone with info on meet & greets...post here. I am hearing that Adam is not doing them before the concerts to save his energy and voice for the concert.

I just LOVE Adam and am only going to see him. Never even thought about doing an AI concert before now. Can't wait for August!!!!!!

I bought two tickets to each NJ show. On Saturday, I am planning on taking my 10 year old daughter for her birthday. For the second night, my 20 year old niece is flying in from Montreal, Canada to see the show. Who knows, maybe my 73 year old mother will also come in from Montreal to see the AI concert ---- we are all huge fans of Adam and excited to see him perform in person!

I am going with my husband and 4 little kids. Since I had to buy 6 tix together, we do not have good seats....Aaargh! I would have paid any amount of money for good seats, so we could all see him close up. I think it is funny that Adam's first concert was Paula Abdul and my kids first concert ever will be this one! He can come home with us after with his friends or family (would love to meet Neil - he is a riot) or whoever and go swimming at night with his songs playing over the sound system. Then we could watch movies to chill out. Hey Everyone! Slumber Party at my house!!

Went last year and the winner sang 5 songs, runner up sang 4 songs and the rest sang 3 songs. There were no duets last year. I hope there's a 'meet & greet' but if the lines were long last year, can u imagine how long they will be for Adam !!. Can't wait to give Adam the standing ovation he deserves! For those driving in, I would recommend purchasing the pre-paid VIP parking.

Our first Idols tour ever and we're only going for Adam (and Allison hehe) .. he better get PLENTY of stage time haha!!

I have never been to an AI Live Tour concert before, but I bought tickets to both shows in Newark (there is one on the 9th, not listed here). Disappointed that Adam did not win and won't be the lead performer but I will be there and will wait in line forever if I have to, glammed out for Adam!!!!

I can not wait for the tour. But I am upset he didnt win. The tour would not be centered on him, I wanted it to be that was why I spent $300 for it. I just hope he's on stage for most of the time. Im going just to see him.
I dont know if we can meet Adam. I talked to someone before who went to last season, and he said there is an autograph time at the end and begining (i think). But it takes a while bcause of the long line.
