recently I learned from you, in an interview, that you did actually trip & I am so sorry to learn that you were "hurt" in the process. I did wonder
about that ! It was a brilliant recovery when you "rolled".!!! And my son &
I had discussed it at the time (he's also a BIG FAN !) He said it was
choreographed & that it was "so cool". Well, I agreed, but I watched it
over & over & decided that it was either a "brilliant recovery" or indeed
"choreograghed"....I just couldn't tell which. And with all the controversy;
you certainly had a lot to deal with!. So, again, I am So Sorry that you hurt
your knee! The FYE video is so great ..I love it. And the song is, after all, my
favorite. It's the "best dance music,ever". I said that I couldn't pick a favorite....But it really is my favorite ...because I hate when it ends...
That's how I know it's my favorite. When you performed it in Tokyo at
the TV station..Oh, that is such fun to watch / the interview & then the performance & then more interview. I loved it! That's a fun one! I watch it

What a performance, fast furious and very interesting! What was all the fuss about, to me it was constant entertainment so fast moving that and akin to the lyric of the song. Everybody on the stage worked so hard to make it completely electrifying and they all did a good job. Adam was perfect.

I think Adam's performance was sexy and fun. Enjoyed the whole show. And 1500 complaints out of millions of AMA viewers is a drop in a bucket. I have supported Adam since his first performance on American Idol and will continue to support him till the very end. In additon, his first CD is awesome to say the least!!! Can't get enough of it and Adam.

Love your singing... U rock as a vocalist! However, your actions were appalling, inappropriate and makes all gays look bad and only increases the discrimiation we already have to endor . Why do you feel that you have to flant / throw your sexuality in others faces. Whom u choose to be with, sleep with, fondle should be private. Your excuse of "we've seen female pop and rock performers do that for years" is an excuse for being inappropriate for your actions. Please save your over the top, semi-porn stuff for Las Vegas and other hot spots that expect just what you did on AMA, and give the worlds population (including children who love you) some cool stuff for dancing, for listening, for enjoying YOU. I think the only "ridiculous", "inappropriate", "offensive", or "unacceptable" thing about this performance is the fact that they bleeped out "Give it to ya til you're screamin' my name".

End of story. That was pointless, ignorant, and inappropriate. The kissing, the dancing, the groping, the sexuality that is ADAMAZING and BRILLIANT. Haters will be haters, the true fans will live on. You know who we are Adam and I can't wait to meet you again love. Go on tour soon!!!!

Outstanding courage, terrible sound (or the Adam that we all know can sing his face off, would have done so in tune) and waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much fuss about it all.
Go Adam - you'll get past this and shine abve a nation of prudes who, let's be real, had the option to turn their TVs off... but couldn't seem to take their eyes off you.

I have been following Adam since the beginning, and loving him every step of the way. However, I was disappointed in AMA performance,........not just vocally (at the end of the song), but thought the S&M shouldve been left at the Zodiac club, and not on national television.
I hope he did not lose any fans because of his actions, although Im sure he did. I will stick with him and see how things go in the future.

Today I am thankful for ADAM LAMBERT for his over the top performance last night at the AMA. His surreal fashion statement, the never ending, wild action packed theatrics’, and his SUPERB vocal range abilities in his songs are what put his fans in AWE every time he sings and performs. His fans obsessively watch him over and over again. His performances make us notice him as an entertainer, we admire his perfectionism and persistence to change the entertainment business or at least be different. This is the first time in history, that I have I ever been so excited about an artistic as I am about ADAM and wish and wonder what he'll do next to entertain us. All smiles today, with black nail polish on in my support of his album which goes on sale in stores today - "for your entertainment"

We love everything you do Adam!!! IT WAS EXCITING AND DIFFERENT. Parents should preview shows for their children (other performances were full of sexual content as well). There did seem to be a sound problem mid-song, but you handled it well. Looking forward to your next gig!

And I just LOVE Adam's CD. every time I listen to it I hear something new, and I'm sure others once they get it will totally Love it Also.

They really messed up the mix... Adam had to really strain to be heard over the bad mix, and there was no BASS mixed in at all... Even Greenday had a totally difficult time singing... along with many others (really,... watch it back to see)

The performers on the left stage had a much better mix than the performers on the right stage or the center stage. When Janet Jackson started the show with her (lip sync-ing) I thought OMG I hope they fix the sound before Adam sings.

I am a sound engineer and even EQ'ed my system right before the show started.

I just totally respect your talent and your vision and thanks for shaking up the Status Quo

That performance RAWKED!!!!! I am surprised at the quantity of negative comments! I am not a huge Adam Lambert fan but I LOVED that performance! When I read the negative comments I wonder if anyone is listening to the LYRICS!!! Well since you didn't take the time to listen . . . Hear this:

Adam was wonderful. he was the only one on the AMA's who could sing! I am absolutely shocked at those who would dare preach about the vulgarity of Adam after seeing lady Gaga and Eminem. Eminem glorified rape! Adam kisses a guy and danced no more revealingly than MJ.Bisexuality isn't new to the music world. Remember Brittney and Madonna's toungebath? Why is it only Adam who has to take the heat? And why are there so many hypocrtical fans who are now chastizing him for what they loved him doing on tour?

For god's sake, the boy cameout to RS, kissed his boyfriend on camera, foundlesd a nude girlin a magazine shoot and NOW people are shocked? This isn't a innocent child. This is a very sexually developed adult male performer .The females have been writing porn fic about him and posting fantasies about his pants for months. I guess seeing it was too much and people never really meant what they said. The same folks who loved almost exactly the same performances on youtube are now shocked.Wonders will never cease.

And for those whining about the tweens, Eminem and 50cent and lady Gaga weren't concerned about them and neother should Adam. He isn't a teen idol.

Adam told everyone from dayone what path he would go.Didn't some folks listen?I loved his voice, he looked wonderful and the concept was terrific.He was a bit nervous but sang beautifully .Kudos to Adam. He is being himself. Listen to the words of the song.He isn't soft and nice all the time get over it.

Finally, I just saw the performance on my t.v. I'm way on the west coast and it takes forever. I'm waiting and seeing all these comments, and I don't know what to think. It was GREAT! Your voice was super - the You Tube vids don't do it justice. I thought everything worked together really well. Congratulations! Wooo Hooo! Go YOU.
Now for the negative comments from the whiners, I guess we're going to have to expect that with someone as expressive as Adam coming off of something as limited and has family time viewers like A.I. I think we will all just have to listen to the complaining for a while. Attention, get over it. Adam is not made to make you feel comfortable. Adam is Hot, Adam is edgy. Adam is no different than 90% of the music stars out there today, so why are you holding him to different standards? Get a grip.
Oh, and to address another thing I've heard from the comments here - there was tons of applause after his performance, I made sure to check it out. They loved him there in the audience at the AMAs, too.

I am so crazy about you and think you are talented beyond belief. however I did not like the performance and your voice sounded strained for some reason. I know this was big for you but all you have to do is smile that gorgeous smile and sing. no props no dancing just you.....

I adore Adam, I think he's a great person and phenomenal performer. I give him huge props for his willingness to push himself and not settle for offering the world another bland experience. I will say his show was just too provocative for a venue like the AMAs, and I hate that I saw such a look of chagrin on Adam's face at the very end. Stuff happens, though, and perspective must be kept. Think of (Aerosmith's) Steven Tyler steppin' off the stage a few weeks ago. I could see Adam had a case of nerves from the start and that surprised me. I just think he pushed himself too hard on this one.

You'd better be prepared baby cause they aren't going to be kind. You're going to have to do some heavy damage control to save your career. So Adam, I waited all month for your performance tonight. I was somewhat disappointed. To begin with, that song is the weakest on your new album. Would have chosen something else for my first single. Secondly, the performance was not polished at all. It seemed to be a mish - mash of S&M and whatever else and was executed sloppily. So sorry about your tumble but you handled that mishap fairly well. I think you knew the audience was not all that impressed at the end of the performance. I could tell by the expression on your face. I felt so badly for you. Let this be a lesson learned. You have a voice like no other so use it; you don't have to shock your fans, just sing and the world will be at your feet. Of course, you need to have showmanship, but this was so over the top that it was just plain boring. Sometimes less is more. Singers with your amazing talent do not need these kind of gimmicks. Whoa. I knew from rehearsal clips that there would be sexy choreography and kinky leather garb, and I've read the lyrics. However, I just didn't like all the crotch grabbing, faces in crotches, kissing, etc. Sliding a hand up a leg is one thing, but this was overdone. I know that sex sells, but I really believe that less is more - seduction vs vulgarity. Adam HAS the sexiness: it is in his eyes, his image, his voice. I know he can sell a sexy image without having to resort to all the groping.

I like the song - I like quite a few of the songs on the album. I can't wait to see the videos he makes - since the first night he sang on AI auditions, I have always been waiting to see what he does next!

Adam, sweet precious Adam. Tonight's performance was disappointing, to say the least. This was a broadway performance gone so very wrong. Why are you trying so hard? All you need to do is open your mouth and sing and stare out of those big blue eyes and crack at least one smile. Your talent doesn't require the bells and whistles of tonight's perfomance. This was a huge moment for you and it really, seriously fell flat. We know how much you love Lady Gaga and it appears that you are trying, conscience or not, to be the male version of her and this is not what your fan base expects from you. You may love her but she doesn't have staying power, obvious by her lack of awards, and you won't either if your performances move in this direction. I don't know if you have an advisor or if all this is your own idea, either way you need to rethink where you are going and how long you want to be there or your fan base is going to drop off..like falling off a cliff off. It's not the masochistic bent of your perfomance that was unappealing it was the overdone show, trying too hard, giving too much and just plain overcooking. Tonight I'm sad, sad because this was the moment all your fans have been waiting for and I believe I'm not the only one saying, Huh? I'll watch your upcoming performances on GMA, Letterman, Ellen to see how you proceed...think, think, think...if you're overwhelmed get a great advisor. This is the beginning of your career and you can't make mistakes like this.
