It will take a while, but you are having a positive impact on this country. Keep being your beautiful self and keep doing the music because we love it!! Adam has an amazing gift! I've been around awhile (I'm a grandma) and the last time I witnessed this much talent, this much carisma, this much excitment from one human being, it was elvis. I can remember when my friends and I could not get enough of elvis. We would walk come from school and stop by the local drugstore to look at all the latest photos of elvis .... remember guys? Adam can "create" the elvis look if he wants to, but his own look is absolutely unique. It has been years since I have heard a voice like adams. We have had ten to 15 years of hiphop, filled with nothing more than filth. This is not music - it is noise! Adam's song "Music Again" really hit home for me. I can't believe all the grief he was subjected when this OPENLY GAY kissed a boy!

I am taking in all the Adam excitment from a much different perspective. Take away the grinding sex, take away the snakes, take away the leather clothing and the big hair and you still have a voice like pure gold. If you turned on your radio one night back in 1955 and heard Adam's voice, you would have experienced the same connection with an iconic up-and-coming star as we all saw on american idol. There was no question in my mind who had the best voice. Adam has much more than talent ... he has star quality beyond anything I have seen Elvis, and maybe the Beatles, although the Beatles were famous on a different level. They were together, and it's easier to deal with fame when you share it with someone. Adam will have more bumps in the road, I am sure. Once someone claws their way to the top (i.e. Michael Jackson) there seems to be so many who cannot wait until he is back on the bottom, being ground to death under foot. It apears that Adam has a good family (?) and he seems pretty intelligent and stable.

His voice ... no matter what he sings ... is a gift beyond measure, so enjoy guys. ENJOY!

Adam, I love you

Hi Adam: loved your voice and your look on Letterman. You sang beautifully and heartfelt. If that was your first network preformance, you would be receiving nothing but kudos from everyone. The AMA performance was interesting, to say the least. I get the performance aspect of the actions going with the song. I personally didn't see anything wrong with it on a performance level. However, your vocals were not so good. I was disappointed as I wanted you to shine with the first network appearance. It seems all the talk was about your performance and not your beautiful voice.

But with your Early Show singing, in which it was so beautiful, I almost cried during 'Whataya Want From Me'. It seemed like you were singing to the critics.

When I got the email from GMA saying your appearance was cancelled, I replied with a carefully-worded email telling them what a chance they were missing!

Please keep making beautiful music! Smiling

Love ya,
Alikat

Great performance on Letterman. It reminded me of why I followed you intensively on Idol. I have been waiting for your CD and it great. Your video is great too. All the makings of a STAR.
However, your performance on the AMA awards was disgusting. You almost lost me. I grew up loving Glam and Theatrical Rock. I was a Ziggy Stardust fan from Day One. You can be creative and different without being vulgar Adam. I expect more from you.

savanna67

adam,

i absolutely love your music and watched your performance on the AMAs and thought it was a really amaizing performance and i dont think people should be critizising you but my mom saw the performance and i am only 13 so she still has a say on what i buy or dont buy and she wont let me buy your music because of the performance, so could you please just appologise and tone it down a bit ,although i loved it...and all your doing is expressing yourself and i think thats ok and people who critizise you are probobly just jelous that they dont have your amaizing talent...i wish i could buy your music and dont worry ill find a way to get it haha

with love,
savanna c.

Adam,
It's hard to know what to say to you. My husband and I watched you through American Idol and watched each week to see you soar; we both knew we were seeing an iconic performer emerging. It was a split vote in our household over your AMA performance. My husband thought you went too far with your performance and just wants you to sing; he believes your voice speaks for itself (of course, it does). I find myself defending you. I can perfectly understand where your head was on that evening and it can't be easy watching all of the other performers and then closing the show. It's easy to get caught up in the mood. For me, it was like watching my son and thinking, "Oh, Adam, did you have to go so far?" Typical mom response. I've purchased all of your songs and videos on AI and now your CD. We know you have great common sense and are grounded, including your freaky side. Just stay true to yourself and remember, NO ONE has your voice. You really don't have to prove a thing. Good luck to you and your career. PS By the way, I'd love to see you include acting in your bag of tricks. I have a feeling you'd be a natural at that also.

Dear Adam,

Your performance on David Letterman was wonderful. You are a very talented, well spoken and charming guy. I hear that you are performing on Dick Clarks Rockin New Years Eve in Time Square. How exciting. Your album is amazing. I listen to it everyday. Can't wait to see you on Ellen this week. Best of luck to you.

ellanlala

Adam, you got this one just right. Wow, well done.

Dear Adam,

Let me try this again, I'm a 55-year-old, married woman, who
didn't watch American Idol, but for a few times. Then I heard about your controversy on the awards show. I started researching your videos on the Internet, and was truly moved by your singing voice. I don't need to compliment you, you've got plenty of that coming from around the world. You probably won't even read this, let alone respond to it, but I just want you to stay true to yourself, as you seem to have so far, and definitely stay grounded. You strike me as someone who hasn't let all this fame go to your head, thus far. Let it stay that way. And you'll truly do good things for yourself and this planet and its inhabitants.

A future fan of yours, DK

Great performance, great voice, great talent, great everything!!!
I saw your performance on AMA too, and I congradulate you. You've done a great job there and the society is hypocrite when it says that you "shocked" AMA.

Adam, I love you!! i am a 35 year old mother of 3 and I think you are great!! The AMA's-a little questionable--but hurray for freedom to express your art. I loved your performance on Letterman.

Como sempre, adorei sua voz. Acho que David nem precisou entrevistá-lo porque sua voz já diz tudo. (Sorry my english: as usual, I love his voice. I think David not even need enterview him because his voice tell us everything). QUERO COMPRAR O COLLECTOR'S EDITION ÁLBUM NO BRASIL

Your voice and music are incredible. Don't ever stop. I can't wait to see you on tour! I pre-ordered your new CD and wasn't disappointed. It's Rock, It's Roll, it has haunting melodies with great vocals and great rhythms. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next! You blew my mind since day 1 on A.I. and you are on a rising star. Hold on Baby, you're going for one hell of a ride.

I saw Adam on David Letterman and was so impressed with his incredible voice I picked up his CD for me, 1 for my daughter and 1 for my best friend. He is very flamboyant but so what. He's an entertainer and I probably would not have heard of him if there had been no controversy . More power to him and keep up the great work!!!!

kennethhiatt

adam i think your the greatest thing that has came out in 20+ years dont listen to what they say kee doing what u do and u WILL be big rock on man

rasberrygrl95

I love Adam and I voted for him every week on Idol but I was really dissapointed by his ama preformance. I loved him on letterman. He should have preformed like that on the american music awards. I know he said he's not a baby sitter, I know he isn't. But... there is a line. He shouldn't have simulated oral. That wasn't nessasary. I love you adam but stop the stupid sex stuff please. You have one of the best voices i've ever heard!! I love you!

Adamlambertomg

Adam, Your peformance on Letterman was amazing!! I love that song & you sang it really well. You were great and looked hot as well. Smiling

argcragrat66

Adam,

I was so inspired by your honest response to the criticisms that followed your performance at the AMAs. You are 110% correct about American double standards. As a straight female, I thought your performance was ridiculously sexy. Heterosexual males can watch two straight women kissing on public television and I am expected to keep quiet. However, when you're beautiful, sexy, and talented self plants a sweet kiss on another sexy man, we're criticized for loving it? You show everyone that you are not afraid to express your sexuality and for that, I truly congratulate and thank you. It is my hope that you inspire more people to feel express themselves sincerely and comfortably.

Keep the performances coming. I will no doubt be watching you from my home in California =)

gamedriven

Having seen every available footage of your live performances, I want to say that I personally was not offended by the somewhat clumsy sex tricks at the AMAs. I think I can sum up fan reaction by saying I was a little embarrassed for you because I bragged to everyone I know that you are the best singer of our generation. since this was your first non-idol performance I knew there would be skeptics watching and I wanted you to blow their minds. You may have been true to yourself, but in a small way we feel like we are all represented on that stage. I am a straight male and what I wanted to show people was how great my taste in music is. I could care less about your sexuality because I want to hear you sing, not date you.

For those who have attacked you, they were not your fans anyway, so who cares. What does matter to me, a loyal fan, is that you realize that we want others to appreciate your talent, not to give them ammunition to dismiss you as another shock circus act. Your followup performances were spot on and I can only assume your advisers explained the situation. You do not owe an apology to anyone for your performance or to the haters for anything you do. But as a first performance I wish you had focused more on the singing. And that is all I am going to say about that. FYE ought to win at least one grammy. Good first album.
