Anyone remember MTV's "Unplugged" series? Well after a long hiatus, the successful music series will return to MTV/VH1/CMT and the first artist to kick-off the series is Adam Lambert! Adam's "Unplugged" performance will air March 10th on VH1. Sponsored by Starbust, Adam will not only sing tracks from his critically acclaimed debut album For Your Entertainment but will also feature an unexpected cover song...what will Adam sing?!? BEST 30 MINS OF MY LIFE
So after a lot of pouting, i finally got to see ADAM unplugged!!!! yes it was good, he did some talking, i love his eyes, he did some songs that haven't been done on another acoustic show. He is hot and he can sing, which it is amazing how many people can not sing without all the buttons and addons, the autotune babies i guess. there is anything he can't sing. ok i've stopped gushing.
OMG I can't believe this isn't going to be on TV. How stupid!! I wanted to set up my DVR. Watching things online is not the same.. all they are showing on TV anyway are things like Celeb Rehab and reruns of I Love the 80s. Uggg!!!!
Going crazy! Can't get enough of Adam and his performances. I have been looking in the directory for this for days so I could record it. Nice to know I'm not the only one frustrated.
OK so what time (and within what VH1 Show) will the one song air on VH1 television on Wednesday morning?

Here is a thread I posted earlier in the forum about Unplugged:
I called VH1 just moments ago and ended up talking to a woman named Jamie Frost in the communications dept. I asked her WHEN the Ungplugged session would be airing. She didn't know the answer either, so she went to the press dept. at VH1 while I was on hold and came back to me with the following info:
The Unplugged series is not aired on TV, it will be posted online ONLY. On Wed. morning during the regular video programming, ONE SONG from Adam's Unplugged session will be aired on VH1 on TV.
For the full session, look for it be posted online. We can watch it at VH1.com once it's been posted.
Anyone who wants to verify this info. can go to the VH1Press.com to find contact info. The woman I spoke with was extremely nice and went in search of an answer for me even tho' she could have just said she didn't know. I assume the press folks for VH1 would know what's what.

I also noticed in the linked article above that Mr. Toffler said this:
"All these new platforms weren't available when we first launched "Unplugged." Now we can run 60 to 90 minutes worth of songs online, run a portion of that on television -- there's a number of outlets for these songs to be exposed. "
To me that sounds like it supports what I was told on the phone. *RUN A PORTION OF THAT ON TV* and *60 TO 90 MINUTES ONLINE*
I'm very disappointed it won't be on TV in its entirety.

This is great news.
Since I have a nighttime work assignment the same day, I'm gonna set the timer on my vcr and record it so that I don't miss it.
I loved Unplugged back in the day...some great acts on there.
This is SO exciting and a real tribute to Adam's talent and CHOPS, what many of today's stars simply don't have and will never be invited to go "unplugged." To be chosen FIRST is just an outstanding accomplishment. I truly believe Adam is living his dream. Adam, you are grounded - I think you have the intelligence to get through this and remain yourself. Good luck on your first world trip - you will be amazed at the success you are already achieving in other countries. I think Simon has truly found his international star!

Adam, you never cease to amaze me. This is an awesome opportunity for you and your career. To hear your beautiuful voice in its raw state will be music to everyone's ears.
