DELIGHTFUL! so real so honest, so seemingly true to yourself. tell them what you feel.. not what they want to hear. It may not sit well for everyone but who said everyone should sit with one thing. its a real refreshing change sweetness and as always your' so beautiful. muah
Absolute Perfection is Adam Lambert! Thanks for sharing. Great interview!
Thank you, Adam, for another beeauutiful interview!!!! I've been sick all day and you made me feel better.
I loveeeee all your insites, they are so deep, genuine, for real, I loveee to listen to your beeeeauuutiful voice and see your beauuutiful self, Adam, thanks for being YOU <<<<33333
Adam: I truly love you and your music. I'm a 56-year old gay man who just came out seven years ago. Being authentic is so important, and that you are. Your new album is fantastic and my favorite track is "Pick U Up" for its repetitive melody. Boy, my biggest thrill would be to meet you someday.
Most valuable interview you've done yet, and it's almost all about the music. Go figure!
You definitely know what you're doing and you're doing it perfectly.
Hey Sweet boy,I so loved this interview. Thanks so much for giving this to all of us.I wonder if you know how much it means to many of us.Your music and your self has meant more to me then you will ever know.i dont even look the same Im so much happier.I appreciate how hard you work and put all of us first with the entertainment.if I ever ,ever, ever get to meet you,Im gonna give you 18 hugs and 36 kisses!!!You look beautiful.stay healthy and safe. Please give your Mom a hug from me and take Dad out for a beer.We love you here in Oklahoma, especially me,Rocket
You have fans of all types, and I am glad your album had something for everybody. I am a 43 year old married man and a BIG fan. I am looking forward to your next album and hope you get the control you are looking for. If you ever develop a stage show, I would love to see you create a musical of Anne Rice's second vampire book "Lestat" A rock star with super natural talent. You are the only one who could do it
Great interview!! Such wonderful chemistry between the interviewer and you. The epiphany experience had to have been the one I read about where you decided to be on American Idol because you had eaten a mushroom during a retreat. I took it to heart! It wasn't true. That is so funny. I am glad that I finally learned that it wasn't true. Your knowlege of music is so impressive. I know so little about the science of music and the music scene (man, I am in healthcare). It is my love for you and your music that has brought me here. It is hard for me to imagine your having trouble finding a date because you are so strikingly handsome and to-die-for- sexy. Surely, part of the reason your singing is so moving and passionate is because you have lived what you are singing about. You have been there in the trenches. I respect the mindset that would reject songs that are just not you. So your intensity and passion when you sing are not just acting. You are drawing from your own experience. Please keep the interviews and the Track-by-Tracks coming. The more I learn about you the more I love you. Also, if you liked you could put select articles on the website.
Adam love the interviews. i just lovr yhe way you talk. You are just so sweet
in all interviews, I like how Adam is ^ ^, I love your smile and laughs when lol, well stop bothering xDDDDDD, I love you Adam<3
(wow, whoever was interviewing him REALLY needed a tripod for her camera, it was shaking all over the place, making me dizzy. ha!) I love this interview, I love every interview. like I've said, each one, we get to see a different layer of Adam, and yet, are always left wanting more. Can't wait for the new songs, and can't wait for your TOUR!! =D
Adam you are an amazing artist.. you can tell that you are genuine and real...you have this incredible energy about you. can't wait to see you in Indio, ca and for your tour to launch hopefully i will see you in WA, Or where ever close you are coming =)
xoxo,
Kara
p.s. a tour with Pink would be pretty awesome too hehe just a thought =)
Loved this interview - about Adam and his music (finally). That's what it is all about for me. Though I think Adam is a very nice person who I would like to meet someday. Adam speaks so clearly and I love his interpretation of the music.
I would like to have Adam do a duet with Christina Augeliera - I loved the Ricky Martin /Christina duet and something like that would be fantastic. Christina is from the Pittsburgh area and she is so talented. Hope to hear a duet soon.
As for the radio play - I hope the producers or those who "pull the strings' read this. Because I would love to hear Music Again on the radio. I have to hear that 10,000 fireflies song about 5 times a day and some of the other songs though good don't even come close to Adam's music. I hope Adam continues to get radio play. We need new music! Though I respect the music of the past - give the young people a chance.
One more comment. Loved the interpretation of "soaked" - My favorite song on the CD. I always thought of standing in the rain but Adam explained very well. Thanks for "Your Soul Will Be Ok" that is a great lyric.
Keep on singing Adam - and I understand it is a business but look at Taylor Swift she asked her producer to let her write all her own songs and she keeps getting awards. Don't ever be afraid to express your ideas - there is always someone out there that will listen. All the best to you can't wait for what's next. Sharon
I really hope Adam doesn't even dream of working with pathetic Kesha. She is automated and talentless. He is so much better than that. He can actually SING. Most of his songs actually have a meaning too.
@D5004 I love your idea for the tour that would my perfect gig!
You know, I just don't think there's any doubt that you're headed to the top Adam. Loved this interview and hearing how you express everything. The one thing I'm so sick of is any mention of sexuality. I mean - who cares??? You're going to be one of the biggest stars we've ever had and none of us (your fans) could care LESS what persuasian you are. You mentioned you admired David Bowie...(who didn't? I mean even the guy's eyes didn't match...he was the epitomy of cool, mysterious, edgy...). I would LOVE to see your concert tour with women dressed as men, men as women, men as men, women as women...to the extent that no one would know who was who....or care! Artistic androgeny. That would be a Bowie move, in my mind. Can hardly wait til you mount some massive tour. We'll all be there.
Glad to finally hear why the album was put together in that way, I had been wondering, although I love the album it did appear slightly rushed. Would have liked to hear a bit more about why Voodoo and Down the Rabbit Hole didn't make the album, Down the Rabbit Hole being one of my favourites. Hoping on the next album Adam will have a lot more creative imput on the writing side of things!
I could listen to you talk about music for hours! And I am glad you like talking!
Well i don't see how you could be forgotten. Not only are you beautiful (inside and outside), talented, charismatic, sexy, sweet, edgy but you're also so bright, full of humour, deep, genuine...
Your album is out of this world, entrancing, powerful, very original, and I feel it suits you so well (although I am sure more surprises are to come in the future). I am never tired of listening to it, it is so rich in moods, emotions, styles, your voice is so "sexual" (in the broad sens of the word) that it makes me feel really good. Well, I just can't imagine the world of entertainement without you now.
I think good things will come in time for you and I do hope you will make it to France in a not too distant future as I am sure people would love you here. Lots of love. Take good care of yourself.
Is Adam Fantastic or what? He loves talkin'... we love listening to him! Really enjoyed this interview and so glad you did not edit it down. We get the chance to see how very gifted, humble, appreciative, creative and intelligent this great artist is. Adam, you will NOT fade away! We love you! Best wishes to you, keep healthy, stay true to yourself and have FUN!
He's so intelligent and passionate about his music
<3
it just makes his interviews so engaging. I LOVE listening to his interviews and track-by-tracks just as much as I LOVE his music!
ADAM YOU ARE AWESOME
I LOVE YOU SOO MUCH!!
that all just answered and addressed so many thoughts and questions I had... Thanks for posting!
and while this is almost completely unrelated, I am thoroughly jealous of that jacket.
Thanks Goodness we are finally talking about the music and not the past crap that if I had my choice would never come up again. Let it go people and lets talk music; let's strut and have some fun. Now we are talking! It is all good Adam...play it smart and the voice; the charm and the whit will alway win out over everything. You are the new hope Anyone who has not read the article"Adam Lambert-The Fourth Tallisman of Musical Hope" should at the web site www.Examiner.com. It is an amazing article that all Adam fans will find inspiring and give you hope too. Enjoy this one!!
Oh my god. Every time I see a new interview, I'm floored. And this might quite possibly be one of my favourites. It's finally centred around the music--such a fresh thing to talk about--and yet we get a good balance of seriousness and humour.
"Let there be light!" haha! And that sound he made when he was talking about being in the club, "bleh" so cute. He would make such a fabulous blend with Matthew Bellamy, I know it. And I was thinking a lot about a collaboration with Christina Aguilera, and here's a girl who has some serious pipes singing with a boy who can match her--it'll be magical.
I wonder how anyone could forget Adam, though. It is a major shame that some talented folks fade away if they're not publicised but I don't know, Adam is bold and memorable, his look strikes you, his voice stays with you, he's unforgettable, I think
I'm so looking forward to the sexy, industrial disco EP. Whenever I go out to some place I'm always trying to see if people are playing Adam, because his music can totally be made to fit to club-thumping beats (although with the way I play his CD in my car, turning up the bass, it's like I'm in my own personal club, rockin' out. It's hilarious I promise you, but I have such a fun time).
(I had to take notes, can you tell? It was just so wonderful)
Ah the staying power. Well if it came down to all the Adam Lambert fans he already has--we are sticking with him for life. He won't fade if it's up to us, he'll just keep burning brighter.
I so love the fact that he's explaining the way the business is so candidly, how it's a bit of a compromise between the integrity and experimentation versus the selling power. But that's exactly what I think Adam has going for him almost effortlessly--beauty, talent, marketability. I guess some people are just slowly coming to realise that, but hey, it's good if it's a slow and steady thing because he probably needs time to get used to being a star as well.
I don't know which marketing or producing people were telling him that "Music Again" wouldn't make a good single. How could it not?! It has that nice rock vibe going, and there's meaning behind it. Adam's so right about the scarcity of actual rock songs on the radio. Bon Jovi's on 95.5 right now, but the "popular music" channels are sort of avoiding true rock. A shame, but I guess they don't think it sells.
Still, I think Europe, and Australia (YAY!) and Asia would love Adam as well. He's so versatile. The tracks are perfectly eclectic. Damn, he's just so smart. Savvy. Ugh, I want to see him in concert so desperately. I wish I could win those tickets. Seriously though, he might wear makeup, but he's still totally the guy next door.Who wouldn't love to have him as a neighbour. I could listen to him talk all day.
But for now, I am that chick who hums his songs in her head, and blasts him in the car, rolling the windows down even in the cold so that everyone can hear the awesomeness. And then I just belt right along with him, enclosed while I turn up the bass. Haha. I'm ranting in my writing. But this is my devotion to him. Maybe one day I can win a writing contest about my effusiveness for him.
This man of vocals will one day do what he wants. I trust in that completely. Baby, you'll get to do all you ever wanted to do in good time. I love you. I'm there every step of the way. Even if most days you're just being blasted in my car. <3
Adam is so natural and comfortable on camera, I mean, I could watch him interview all day! He comes across so lovely and genuine - because he is- and Adam, you have made it. You aren't going to fade out because the world hasn't seen anything like you before. And orginality can't die, if it does, there is no hope for the human race. So just keep being amazing and doing what you do best. Entertain!
Wonderful interview. Was so nice to hear Adam talk about his music. He is so talented.
Wow, great interview. I listened to the whole thing twice, heard a lot of fresh tidbits I didn't know about. Love his closing comment "I can talk".
Adam is always interesting to listen to, so articulate and genuine in his remarks. It would be great fun to have him as a dinner guest. Did anybody notice the "A" on the wall grate behind him? I wonder if they chose that spot deliberately?
In regard to his comments, I don't think Adam has anything to worry about as far as "making it" as an entertainer. I know the music industry is very fragmented nowadays, but few people have the huge talent he brings to the field, and he has the personal drive and smarts and charisma to keep it all on track. Also, just FYI, I would love to hear "Urban Decay", maybe on a True Blood gig at Fangtasia?
Love him! He's so cute. Time to get personal: A lot of people at my school make fun of me because I like him and he's gay, but I just block them out and still love him. Stay Amazing!!! <3
I loved this interview its about damn time we got a good interviewer who actually wanted to talk about his music I learned alot about him which I loved and I can't wait to hear his new remixes. Adam is also such a genuine person he is so sweet and does not let the fame go to his head. I hope he never changes and the album he made was amazing and everything else he will do in the future i'm sure will be pheonominal. I love you sooo much Adam, Audrey.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. The album is the best as far as I'm concern.
<3 it soooo much!!! my mom loves how real u r and ur not taken in by being famous! stay awesome!!!!
