Yes, I'm 41 and a HUGE fan! But my question is this. My 19 year old son auditioned for American Idol in chicago the same year you did. He made it 3 round and was only 16. Now he is studying music at Western Illinois Univ. He has a amazing voice and talent, and was just born 'with it'. How as a parent can I support him in his career? How can I help him succeed without getting in his way or being a 'stage mom'? Do your parents support you and how have they helped you advance your career. And of course, do you have any advise for him? Unfortunly in the center of Illinois there's not much recruitment for new talent other than Idol. Do you think a music degree will help him, or is it really all about pure talent, and who you know in the business?
