Enjoyed seeing Adam on the Early Show. So glad they gave him so much air time. He looked and sounded fabulous. Adam, you take care of things in your own way and you are respected for that.
You were smokin on the Early Show and AMA's
Thanks for entertaining us,

I watched the AMA's, it was hot! I watched The Early Show, you were hot! Adam, I love that your Mom was there. She's great, and she's right, you just have to "go with the flow." ABC lost out, their ratings had to hit rock bottom yesterday. Very smart CBS snatched you up! Good for them and good for you. You were the buzz on every entertainment show all day. Good work. Can't wait for your concert tour. Happy Thanksgiving!!

LizluvsAdam

Loved seeing your Mom there to support you as well. ABC's loss..... CBS got a new Early Show viewer. See you tonite on Letterman..... blowing you kisses now....... BRAVO again.

Your vocals were superb for so early in the morning! I loved to see your mom there to support you; your very lucky... You inspire us, you intertain us. Way to go!

GREAT show this morning on the early show!! KUDOS to CBS for grabbing the opportunity to showcase your talent. you have an AMAZING voice, I will of course continue to be a Adam fan and supporter:-) SHAME SHAME on abc for their hypocritical actions!! ABC has MANY gay/lesbian features in their shows..modern family....and on one live to live recently there was a mass gay/lesbian wedding ceremony that focused on 2 males kissing!! so why are those shows ok with showing male kissing and a music show cannot air a male/male kiss @10pm cst?!?! so tired of the hypocrits in the world. Looking forward to your long and successful career!

michelevig

Adam! GREAT job this morning on The early Show! You sounded and looked awesome;)))) My absolutely favorite quote of yours...so far....is..."I am NOT a babysitter...I am an Entertainer"....... TERRIFIC and ever so true... BRAVO!!!!!

ruthloper2002

Adam, I will most definatly watch the Early Show tomorrow morning. What you did on the AMA wasn't any different then Janet Jackson grabbing her crotch more than a couple times last night as did her male dancers but.nobody said a word to her. I thought your performance rocked! It's just too bad I had to watch the whole entire boring show until you came on. You just keep doing what your doing. Your very talented and I think your fantastic. I even went out and bought your cd today. It is great!!!
From one devoted fan. You rock!!
Love you to pieces
Ruth

Your talent is God-given and truly amazing.

I am completely disgusted with your actions the other night. Why you felt that exhibitionism rather than entertainment was necessary, I'll never understand.

You're now crying "discrimination" - Nice try, but no sympathy from the masses I'm afraid. Use your talent for those of us not so gifted, not for simply being the next name to perform antics that cause a bunch of commotion. All it does is lump you in with the rest, rather than highlight what you've attained.

And, for the record I wasn't ever impressed with Madonna's, Brittney's, MJ's or Janet's antics either. In fact, that was when I realized they were just more run of the mill 'wanna be's' rather than true talents that were thankful for what they'd attained.

Sorry, Adam - but won't be buying or listening until you no longer feel the need to FORCE what should be your most personal beliefs upon me. I wouldn't want to see the behavior you exhibited the other night from any gender mix, unless I'd purchased it for my own private purvue and was aware in advance of what I'd be viewing.

Jazzle.loves.Gl...

Adam cant wait to see you on the show
and the for your entertainment video blew me away
i effin' love u and ur voice!

This is so wrong what they are doing to Adam, canceling his performance on gma just because of of ama show that was not that big of A DEAL. ANYBODY that knows Adam as a person and a artist knows what his path and Intentions are when he puts on a show. BUT I AM SO GLAD THAT THE EARLY SHOW STEPPED UP AND REALIZES WHAT A TRUE ENTERTAINER ADAM IS AND A PHENOMENAL PERSON HE IS.SO YOU GO ADAM ROCK THAT PLAZA, AND YOU WILL STILL HAVE ALL OF US THE TRUE FANS ROOTING YOU ON:)

adamsnumbr1fan

It was everything i wanted out of you.ive said it before baby be true to yourself.i love ya Adam you hang in there.hey good job getting thier attition.all of the casino was talking about you,see people my Adam is a smart man.and sexy

frenchy

You did a great job on the AMA's and I hope you blow everyone away on the cbs show so ABC will be crying for the fact they canceled you at the last minute.

RJnIowa3

When the people complaining about your performance on the AMAs become people who also previously voiced concerns about heterosexual performers - then their comments may have some merit. Until then, a bigot is a bigot.

You keep doing what you do ... and I'll keep watching your performances and buying your albums.

Nice job. Congratulations!

TDL74

I applaud and support what you've done. The AMA s were boring me to death until you stepped on stage. People are acting like you are the first one to ever do anything onstage out of the ordinary. I remember when Madonna had a bed on stage and simulated sex. It was before my time and yours also, but Elvis was blocked from the waist down because of stupid people on tv. He was labeled obscene. To me, if you get put into that category with Elvis, Madonna, Jim Morrison...that's a compliment...they're all legends and hopefully you will be too...keep doing what you're doing...

Holla99JL

I'm looking forward to seeing you on The Early Show. ABC's loss is CBS's gain!

weas6

Adam I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for setting the gay community back and making it that much more difficult to marry. My honey and I have been waiting 15 years to marry and you just made it that much longer. We have two kids, one is 11 who saw your performance - we all were embarrassed for you. It's a shame for such talent to be lost in such a crap performance.

This program (GMA) is done by hypocrites. Excuse me, but I remember when Adam was giving a presentation along with Kris Allen and David Cook, and when he was talking about what the fans threw on stage during the tour, someone said: "This is a family program, we can not talk about it". But there were girls family who were playing all those things? People "family" do not wear bras? Does this presenter is not to offend the entire audience of AI Live?
ADAM, baby, you do not need this and with his voice and his charisma, you certainly get very far. I support you 100%.

askevie

I was looking forward to seeing the GMA performance. Too bad they cancelled it, but either way they think that they are harming Adam's future in the business, when reality is people are now more curious about Adam which will lead to more exposure. Adam, your one hell of an entertainer, keep doing what your doing.

mommermaid

I will definately be watching!
After all the performances BEFORE Adam's, with all THEIR pelvis thrusting and near-nudity, you would think all the outraged parents would have hustled their kiddies to bed LONG BEFORE Adam came on. (How many parents through the decades allowed their children to gaze fondly at Micheal Jackson as he grabbed himself constantly????)
Give me a break!!! I am old enough to remember the same "OUTRAGED WOMEN CLUTCHING THEIR PEARLS....." when Elvis thrust HIS pelvis. The media called him dangerous, disgusting, and satanic. They removed his music from the radio AND HE STILL ROCKED ON to form a lot of the music we listen to today. Good grief, we went through this DECADES AGO. Leave it alone. If you are still outraged I have to ask, "Why the heck are you on this website???? Surfing for people to annoy? Go away please."
Adam showed us on AI that he is versatile enough to adapt an appropriate performance for early morning. Which he had every intention of doing. It would have been a perfect showcase of his amazing talent. I will be watching CBS Early Show.

RocketJava

Glad we still get to see Adam perform. I'm disappointed with ABC for canceling but their loss!

Amrod

I was really looking forward to Adam being on ABC tomorrow and I am actually quite shocked that it was canceled after the AMA. I don't share Adam's choice in life style but that’s just it, it’s his choice his life and for people to make such a big deal over a kiss on a live performance is absolutely ridiculous.
I really have to agree with Adam on this, censoring something that small is discrimination; no one would blink if Madonna or Britney Spears had kissed another girl during a live performance, and ABC canceling the show just seems to add to the discrimination. Really glad CBS picked it up and I need to reset my tivo.
Adam has a great voice, that’s what matters, and that performance was for our entertainment, and I for one was entertained and will definetly not stop listening to him just because he kisses someone.

Love his new album and I can not wait to see what he does next!

lambertfevergirl

Honestly, The whole AMA performance wasn't Adam's fault. One he had rehearsed it prior to the show. And the producers knew what was going to happen. So, in respects to Adam the AMA's are to blame not Adam.

Like he has mentioned over a thousand times he's an artist that had to express what the music was intending to. As with most shows if it contains alot of sexual content they usually put a mention up to warn parents. They didn't even bother so if you look at the facts again Madonna has strutted her stuff with "Like a Virgin" rolling around on stage in a wedding gown. Cher has performed numerous of times wearing a skimpy outfit. Even Janet Jackson has thrusted a guy to her pelvic region a few times.

So, since Adam is so fresh and different they have to capitolize on the whole he shouldn't have done that routine.

I was so angry this morning after I had heard about the GMA perfomance being cancelled I was like "No they didn't" kind of attitude.

I am so excited that the few shows and stations out there are gonna keep his schedual stops.

Can't wait for what he's gonna do next.

Debbie6714

I know 4 people who won't be watching - me and my 3 teenage daughters. Can't take that chance, Adam. You have to remember American Idol made you famous and a majority of AI's audience in teenage girls. Take away teenage girls from your fan base and you have lost half your audience. I cannot in good conscience ever allow my girls (age 12, 14 & 17) ever attend one of your concerts or purchase your albums. We were very disappointed that you didn't win American Idol - You had the better voice, but Kris Allen is the real IDOL.

ladiesfirst

I think ABC had to, not that they really wanted to, as a matter of fact they are propably kicking themselves in the butt because of there rival.
Just wait till they do have him on...It's all Kudos for Adam!
One more thing, you have to sign up as a ABC news member fortunatly it only takes a sec. make sure you de-check all the spam notices before submitting.

chitas

It;s a shame and a waste of a person for your performance on the ama. I have nothing against gays. I think what you did was beyond a sin. You need to keep that private stuff behind closed doors. Your fame has obviously gotten to you and you dont know how to appreciate it. You are in the devil's triangle and as quick as you came up with your new fame you will FALL even more quicker then you know it. You are gonna crash and crash hard. You think your on top of the world and you got it all well you'll be in for a rude down fall and find yourself with NOTHING!!!. You have no morals, no self respect and no class. The devil preys on people like you to use you and spit you out. You demoralized your performance to satin and sin. You oviously sold your soul to the devil just to sell a few cd's. Not worth it. I think your music sucks too.

stars_in_jars

OMG! I have to work tomorrow and had it all set to tape the show... gonna have to change my dvr settings. All I can say is that Adam is an entertainer and has an amazing voice. So, he has to realize that many famous singers only need a stage and their awesome singing vocals to win an audience ~ no need for crazy sexual antics or outrageous dancers, they belong in night clubs or solo concerts. What he did on national TV is a very touchy subject.... if he wanted to make a statement... he surely did it! What's done is done... now let it go! In order for Adam to be in the good graces of the people again... he needs to think twice of his performances and get advice from good people on what to do next. So many mixed reviews and comments referring to so many issues.... people need to give Adam a break - he is new to all this fame.... he just needs to be careful ~ not so daring at first. Hmmm... he did ROCK and SHOCKED everyone on Sunday's AMA... to me, personally, so sorry in a bad way. I do wish Adam success in the music industry ... don't want it to be short lived and go out with a sour note. Adam, it's your fans and the public that will make you famous and buy your music and attend your concerts ....so your main objective is to entertain us and make us happy with your voice that is acceptable by all! Old saying: "There's a time and place for everything". Hopefully he learns his lesson from all this - the public can turn the other cheek really fast. If this is a "publicity stunt " by his people - shame on you ... you steered him wrong!! By the way, got my pre-ordered deluxe CD with booklet - I really like all the songs. I think all of this hoopla is going to affect your sales. Soooooo ... think before you leap Adam!

kathkath

Everyone should go to abc.com and voice their displeasure about the cancellation of Adam's appearance on GMA by going to the bottom of the page, clicking contact and sending them a message. They got 1500 complaints about the AMA performance. Wouldn't it be great if they got even MORE than 1500 complaints about canceling his appearance on tomorrow morning's show?

Tell them you'll be watching The Early Show from now on!

momof2

Adam please redeem yourself. I absolutely have NO problem with your lifestyle. I love your voice and really just your whole presence. Your confidence is incredible. I don't fault you for taking a stand like you did, it's just the way you did it. Right "out of the box." That was not a performance for the people who helped get you where you are at. I am not saying for you not to do what you want or love musically or performance wise it's just that like some of the other posters have said, you have a fanbase of young kids, young adults, families, Moms, Dads, Grandpaps and Grandmas and I believe that that is who sat and voted for you hundreds and hundreds of times throughout the season to keep you in the competition. I know myself I voted thousands of times throughout the season.
I was so excited to see your performance that night. I sat there with my daughter and was speechless. I was just so dissappointed and embarrassed that I didn't know what to say.
I still bought your CD the next day and the songs have such sexual overtone in a lot of them that it is hard to enjoy them. Even if they don't you cant help but think they do just from your performance. Im not that crazy about the heavy synthesizer. I grew up in the 80's. Don't want to re-live that. There are a lot of VERY GOOD songs, you just cant hear your beautiful voice because of the music.
Again, I really love your talent and I want you to take the right path. If you feel that what you did is just absolutely the right path for you, I guess we will probably go our seperate ways. I would be very dissapointed because I have been so looking forward to your debut and seeing what you could do since you always have something fantastic up your sleeve.

bella55

No worries. Adam's rise to SUPERSTAR status is well on it's way and nothing (including ABC) can stand his way.

I was outraged by ABC's decision to cancel. I hope they paid big fines for breach of contract. Also I think they lost people who couldn't stand Adam to Fox on Sunday, and are loosing people who cannot stand the cancelation to CBS on Tuesday.

suziequeue

this whole thing is very sad...

but my husband just reminded me that even bad publicity is good for the entertainment industry and assured me that you will be around for a while to give us some more of your music...he always calms me and makes me feel better, he's an aquarius too (maybe that does have something to do with my appeal for you?)

so guess we'll just hold on for the ride and enjoy whatever comes. i just love your music so much...
wantin you to be successful so you are around a long time...

just a little heartbroken right now that so many of my friends (who use to be big fans) just can't get into you now. ..and i am surrounded by such negativity.

hope you kill it(gently, and mildly tho)on letterman, ellen, and the early show...really love broken open, pick u up, and aftermath...hopin they will be big singles for you soon!!!

sending out the love and light...lookin for you to get out some music that shows your beauty and love...that is what we need!

sharia

Awesome - I will be DVR'ing (if that is a word) that show - already have the Late Show ready to DVR. You are an awesome talent - just relax and all this negativity will blow pass. I'm so proud of you - not just for how articulate you are when you respond to controversy but just how you appear to be unflappable in the midst of all this "crap". Which is exactly what it is - we loved you first because you were different and you had such excitement and entertainment to bring to the stage....don't let people change your artistic ability.

Normally I am considered very conservative -as is my husband and seriously - we weren't rattled by any of your performance. You rock!

Kari77

Calling all Glamberts!!!! I have emailed both ABC and the parents council on tv or whatever it is!!! I encourage all of you too email to!!! I love Adam and he deserves a second chance to show his amazing talent!!!! Thank you CBS!!!! I can't wait to see tomorrow.. Thank you thank you!!

Danish

I bet those CBS execs are personally hand picking all the fruit to go in the thank you basket they will send ABC for making such a boneheaded move

LariatAngel

Thank God someone (CBS) has vision - you'd think we were in the dark ages, as though there haven't been others before who put on shocking performances. Stay true Adam, we understand what you're doing.

DLRGPV

I NEVER WATCH GOOD MORNING AMERICA ITS A BORING. LAME SHOW SO ITS THEIR LOSS CAUSE I WOULD HAVE WATCHED TO SEE YOU.
SO DO THEY THINK YOURE GOING TO DO THE AMA PERFORMANCE ON A MORNING SHOW....DUMBASSES, YOURE A PROFESSIONAL.
SO HOW ABOUT YOU BOYCOTT THAT LAME SHOW FOREVER AND ANYTHING CONNECTED TO ABC AND WHEN YOU TOUR AND GIVE INTERVIEWS TO EVERYONE ELSE THEY WILL LOOSE ALOT OF SPONSORS AND MONEY. TEE HEE.

LOVE YOU ADAM.

glambert1428

Ageanblue

Can't believe ABC is run by 1500 homophobics.OH well their loss is CBS's gain. Adam remain true to who you are. Love you.

jboone321

First things first:
Adam u r amazing. U know it, we know it, eventually everyone will come to realize it as well. I applaud u for sticking to your guns and using your own sense of artistic creativity.

Was the performance crazy over the top? YES, and that was the whole point. That is who u are and we love it.

I think its hilarious how upset people are over this performance, saying that u took away their rights to what they have to view during any awards ceremony. First of all, if anyone had a problem with watching your performance there is a fancy button on you remote control called the Power switch. Nobody was forcing these closed minded viewers to watch this, it was completely up to them and their own discretion.

It really bothers me, however, that ABC felt the need to cancel the concert on GMA. These people most not honestly pay attention to anyone else's music videos or live performances because if they did, Adam's wouldn't have been as shocking as everyone is playing it out to be. But CBS was able to realize what so many people already know, Adam is awesome and now they will profit from it rather than ABC.

I can't wait to see what else Adam has in store for us. Keep doing what your doing Adam, don't let anyone water down your performances.

newms

I have to agree that this could have been a serious mistake on Adam's part. I work with a large group of women who followed, supported, (and purchased btw) Adam's work over the Idol countdown. We were astounded he didn't win...but now wondering if the body of voters weren't correct. His "debut" into American Music was disgusting.
Adam says he won't appeal to all people, and that is definitely true. Remember that "appeal" equals sales though, and I assumed that was one of the reasons for being on Idol. I'm sure he had plenty of appeal at the drag clubs, which is what it felt like at the AMA's. Let's see how it translates to success.

eilo

Guys, chill! I wasn't crazy about the performance either... the audio mix kinda sucked and the bombardment of S&M totalled to a mess alright but based on what i've seen of adam (and a lot of you have mentioned this one way or the other), he's a very smart and honest person... he'll learn from this and move on to better performances... i dunno how many websites I've been to standing up for our idol - admitting that it wasn't his best performance but encouraging people not to write him off yet... sigh, i just hope that Adam pulls back a bit at least for the next few weeks during all those interviews... if this was a marketing strategy, he sure took a very big risk for a newbie... I just hope it works to his advantage and that he takes our views to heart... honestly wouldn't mind these visuals in his concert. At least I have an inkling what to expect and very happy to pay for it too;p Adam, just keep on goin' and please stick that beautiful smile on your face... Fierce is great but it got a little scary and sadly disappointing this last time.. Love ya still.... mwah;p

conke

Way to go CBS for picking up the ball that ABC dropped. Their loss is CBS's win! I loved Adam's performance on AMA. It was edgy and up to date. But that's what I love about Adam. Look at past stars and what they have done - like Alice Cooper, Michael Jackson, and all the rap music out there that has parental warnings.....I mean give me a break ABC!! I personally love Adam - his theatrical background blends nicely with his edgyness. I love his new CD and will keep buying them as fast as he can put them out! I agree wholeheartedly with Adam that it's "Apples and Oranges" and there is a double standard out there. Come on American WAKE UP it's 2009!!!!

Trisha11

I think something happened concerning the AMAs that caused ABC to cancel the 11/25 GMA schedule for Adam. Perhaps ABC got wind of what Adam was planning to do during the AMA performance or they observed the praticing of it. They may have informed Adam's people that some of those planned moves were not to be performed. If Adam's people didn't inform him of that, they may have been upset when the performance was not changed or certain moves deleted. If this is what happened, those people should be fired.
As a major fan, I have to admit that I was a little disappointed. In the end it is really about Adam's talent and amazing voice. That is what people want to hear and see. I am not a Christian fanatic and certainly not a homophobe, but it was OTT for me and unfortunately my friends at my office. Please don't yell at me, but It just seemed forced and meant to shock. ABC is a big corporate entity and they can call the shots when it is a show on their network. There just had to be a miscommunication for this to go down. I hope the people around Adam are keeping him informed.

Longshowerz

This has nothing to do with homophobia. I feel Adam has a right to live as he chooses, but part of that freedom is to respect other people's freedoms as well. He took away people's right to choose if they wanted to watch a gay man make out with dancers and band members. His performance was on a live national television music awards show. Meaning all ages were privy to his display. If his antics were reserved for his concert, that is one thing, the people there knew they purchased tickets for and wanted to see flamboyant Adam Lambert. However, his "performance" on the AMAs basically forced the audience and viewers to watch the opening to a gay sex scene. When they heard Adam was going to perform, I seriously doubt that is what they were expecting! Do you really think he would be where he is if he did that on Idol??? People fell in love for his singing and his stage charisma not for what he pulled on AMA.

RoRo

lostafan, I too, wondered about how the AMA performances were reviewed and accepted. Surely Adam's performance was under as much scrutiny as any one elses? Who gave the final stamp of approval? I thought Ryan Seacreast was very nervous about the performance before it aired. What did he know about it? With Janet Jackson causing 500,000 complaints for the Super Bowl wardrobe "malfunction", and only 1500 complaints about Adam, which ABC considered "moderate", who's idea was it really to cancel the GMA concert? Yeah, okay, so Adam mentioned "Bras" on stage at the summer concert with Kris and Dave, and wore a bondage glove with a "certain" type of ring on it - his performance on the show was a good and conservative one. Lots of people spent their hard earned money to fly out there to NYC to see Adam in concert. Hope they are able instead to catch one of the CBS shows.
