Vancouver Shows
Congratulations on a successful tour but for the second time in weeks, I've tried to get tickets to your Vancouver shows. The Coquitlam one sold out even before it was 30 seconds past 10 a.m. How is it possible for fans to even get a chance at getting tickets? I'm hoping Adam can add more shows but maybe someone needs to evaluate the system being used with ticketmaster. I'm a huge fan but if I don't even have a legitimate chance at getting tickets, what's the point?!

I live in Victoria BC & would love for Adam to do a concert here, but after reading about ticket prices, gouging, etc elsewhere, it would just make me very sad to be that disappointed.
Hey Adam, if you ever read these or if a staff member happens to tell you about your fans' thoughts & comments, I'd like you to know that I'm happy having watched you on Idol & the few televised performances. I'm listening to Aftermath from your CD as we speak & must say thank you for being so much more than some (fools) imagined you could be.
Stay true.
i have 2 side by side e-tickets for sale(and receipt) for River Rock April 9, golden circle LC row P. i am going out of town and can't go. $450 for the pair. email mikibaby@shaw.ca
FoxVegas........I couldn't agree with you more. I'll gladly add my voice to this cause. I too am fed up.
I used to go to concerts all the time...but since the TM monopoly took power......those concerts are few and far between.
I 'lucked' out when buying my tickets for Adam thru StubHub in that I found a seller that was only recouping their cost. But those sellers are rare. AND I guess I'll find out April 8th whether these e-tickets are even valid ......... because really, who knows?
It's one thing to get a couple of tickets thru the same means as everyone else and try to sell them for a profit.......but when you go on a site like EBay and see llterally 100's of tickets for every concert in North America available from one seller.....you know you're dealing with something very dishonest and shady.
So...I'm with ya. We HAVE to be more vocal.......or nothing will change.
I also was online immediately for both Vancouver shows to buy tickets. I must have had the ticket gods smiling on me, because I managed to get 1 ticket for the Coquitlam show and 4 tickets for the Richmond River Rock concert.
I have them available for sale at my cost because a good friend sprung for tickets from Stubhub for us, so we are all a little closer and now we are sitting together.
Here is my ticket info, if you are interested in buying them.
I have e-mail confirmation of all tickets, also.
The tickets are $89.50 each & the add-on fees brings them to $102.25 each.

Like you, I also have a huge beef with Ticketmaster, b/c of how this is done. I've questioned the people who answered the phone at Ticketmaster and found out a few things:
~ Their system is set up to sell 2000 tickets per minute. When there are only 950 tickets at a venue, they are gone in a flash.
~ They only release 5% of the tickets for presales the day before tickets go on sale officially, so those few tickets are also gone in a heartbeat.
Fantasy Springs in Palm Springs did it right, IMHO. They sold their own tickets, so no sales that I know of were made through a secondary vendor such as Ticketmaster.
I've contacted a few of the powers that be and I've suggested that future concerts of Adam's be handled differently. It seems to me that when over half of the tickets sold through TM then appear on StubHub for grossly inflated prices up to $999 a seat, there is something desperately wrong with the system.
The very fans who support Adam by buying his album and giving him loyal and strong fan support are pushed to the side by the ticket sales system...those fans are the very people who are the bread and butter fans and they are disallowed from attending a concert because of the outrageous ticket prices from scalpers.
Hopefully, Adam's fan club can take care of this, much as Pearl Jam's fan club does. They have a near-perfect system, I think. Anyone want to talk about how that works so that we can help to implement a similar system for Adam's concerts? I'm happy to help!
OK, my rant is over!
I'm just as cranky about this as you! I'd be less crabby if the extra $$$ from the higher ticket prices went to DonorsChoose or the Adam Lambert Scholarship at MET2 or even to Adam himself. But, when it goes into the pockets of the scalpers, I have no patience for it.
What can we do about this?
I think as a fan group we have considerable power to make a change, if we are interested in doing so.
I swear I have no vested interest in this company.........but for those of you heartbroken fans....go to StubHub for Vancouver tix.
I explained in my intro to this site, that I was at Indio (fabulous!!!!) but because I was so far from the stage I left feeling unfulfilled. I don't have to explain to any of you,,,,that Adam is a man you need to SEE as well as hear.
Anyway...after Indio...the next morning I went on our laptop to read any reviews, etc and by accident or divine intervention, I found a link to Stubhub. Within a few mins, I had 2 tix, 11th row, golden circle for onlu $30 over list price.
Please take a look.....I know how you all feel...I felt that way too when I thought the opportunity was gone.
If you get tix because of my help...look at my picture and please say hello. Good luck and hope to see you in Coquitlam.

I am yet another Adam fan who logged in to all 4 ticket event sales right at 10am on the dot and refreshed several times and even tried later in the day and couldn't even get one ticket. I was trying to purchase 4. My husband and I and my best friend and my Mum all really wanted to go. I looked on ebay to find USA scalpers tickets and got really angry. I don't mind people who legitimately just can't go and need to sell the tickets at cost. That is fine. It's all the **sholes who never had any intention of attending the shows and are just trying to make a quick buck. I say we all revolt and do not support them! It's infuriating!! I would love to see Adam!!! I'm hoping he adds another show and sells the tickets through someone other than ticketmaster whose website seems to have MAJOR glitches!! Let's have real fans able to purchase tickets when they go on sale and at a reasonable price. Thanks for listening as I see that I am not in the minority on this topic
I hear you people. Sooooooo frustrated. At first I was really sad when I knew how much the tickets were since I'm not working right now... But my best friend wanted to buy me the tickets because it happens on my birthday, April 9. But when I tried to (and by-golly wow, I was on ticketmaster for all pre-sale dates and normal ones), it was all gone!
It's super, super disheartening because one of my birthday wishes is to meet Adam Lambert, or even just see him live. I feel like I've been missing out because I only became a fan about 2 weeks ago. But this is just heartbreaking.
I just bought tickets off Stubhub and also emailed a complaint to Ticketmaster because I was on all four days as well at 10 am and couldn't get any. Their stupid code you need to type in is an apparent waste of time!
Like one of the scalpers posted on a different thread - they have special equipment. TicketMaster will never be fair for the regular fans. The only way it will be any better is with a larger venue.
Ok now I really smell something fishy. How is it that 68 people are selling Vancouver Adam Lambert tickets on Ebay and most of those look like US businesses? There is something seriously wrong with this process when fans are left out due to professional scalpers.
Yes, me too. Was on both phone line and website with ticketmaster at exactly the time tickets came on sale but no luck. Not even a single ticket. Unbelievable, and yes Rena is right there certainly is no shortage of scalper tickets. I've tried for River Rock and now Red Robinson and still nothing..... boo hoo. Adam you need to play here for a week !!!!
How about looking into having shows added at larger venues such as these in Vancouver: the Vogue; Centre for Performing Arts; Queen Elizabeth Theatre; the Commodore - these are all somewhat large while maintaining an intimate feeling. If arenas like GM Place and Pacific Coliseum might not have been available, these should really be considered.
I'm pumped for you that your shows are being so well received but as a fan, it's incredibly frustrating to log-in for tickets and have them all sold out within 30 seconds of going on sale. We couldn't even get one ticket by itself for your Coquitlam show and it wasn't even 10:01am (tickets went on sale at 10am). I hope you decide to add another concert date at a larger venue in the Vancouver area or take the initiative to look into Ticketmaster's way of doing business - something isn't right.
I agree! For both shows I was logged in to Ticketmaster at 10 a.m., and couldn't get tickets even before the clock turned to 10:01! I know they are small venues, but really! And yes, there seems to be no shortage of scalper tickets. Too bad fanclub members didn't get a presale (at least I didn't get any notice of one). I did get one for the first show from Virgin radio, but didn't check my email soon enough and missed out.
It's gonna be torture to know he's performing in my own backyard and I can't be there.
