Requesting a little help for my sister with cancer...NOT MONEY!
GREETING CARD DRIVE
I've been around the site for a while but mostly as a lurker, so I know I'm not well known. However, I have a HUGE favor to ask. My youngest sister, Susan, is undergoing chemotherapy for stage III breast cancer. The type she has (ductal) is fast-spreading so it is being treated rather aggressively. Needless to say, she is quite frightened and quite ill. She's feeling depressed and pretty hopeless, as well as worried about the future for not only herself, but for her 14 year old daughter.
I obtained a P.O. Box in her name and I'm organizing a surprise greeting card drive to try to cheer her up. It would make me very happy if some of you would take the time to send her a greeting card!!! On top of everything else, her birthday is the 24th of this month so if you aren't comfortable sending her a get well or thinking of you card, a birthday card would be great! I am disabled and in a wheelchair myself so I can't do as much for her as I would like, but I thought this would be one way that perhaps I could help lift her spirits.

I just had to come back on here and tell you this story...I was at my local Care Pharmacy picking out a card for your sister and well who did I happen to hear on the loudspeaker playing?....Well non other than our very own Adam Lambert..singing Whataya Want From Me!! No kidding..I am thinking it is a good sign for your sister and it was the first time I heard Adam's song while I was shopping!
I will be mailing out her cards today...I got one for her Birthday and one for just thinking about you ...

Hello Sally, I will be getting a card for your sister and mailing it out this week....Our family will keep you and your sister in our prayers and let her know she is not alone....she has The Glamily supporting her now...I also have a 14 year old daughter so I know it must be hard on her too!
