ADAM IS A ROCKSTAR! My Dallas Concert Experience (all vids added)

The Dallas concert was incredible! Sitting in the 7th row of the center section was great because we were just at the right distance and could look at the entire stage and at the contestants up close. Seriously, I could see all of their features clearly! Smiling

I enjoyed the whole concert. Liked Megan’s “Put Your Records On” and liked Scott’s upbeat personality. Scott and Matt's dueling pianos were FUN! Lil rocked it with "All the single ladies." Anoop's voice is smooth and he showcased some pretty sexy moves during "My Prerogative." Michael rocked it well, pumped to be in his "home town" of Texas. Alison worked the stage wonderfully. It's hard to believe that she's only 17. The outfit she wore was...well...let's just say that she did not look or act only 17. It blows the mind.... Danny is probably the best person to precede Adam because he has the ego to handle it. He came out with a great rendition of PYT and his salsa moves were fun. Although, by the end of his performance, the arena was ready for Adam. Kris was kind of a let down because he seemed to just jam his set. He didn't seem to have made any effort with what he was wearing, etc. I enjoyed him though.

You could literally feel the energy rise when Adam's set started. The entire arena was on its feet and the sound of people screaming was deafening!

Adam was just beautiful--no other words to describe him. His performance solidifies for me that he IS A STAR! He is confident, engaging, emotive and brilliant! And, of course, he exudes a pure, raw sexuality that continues to draw you in the entire time he's on stage. His vocals stood out above everyone else's. The music and lights didn't compete with him as they did with some of the other contestants. Adam had the total performance, visually and musically! Smiling WOW!!

His spiked jacket is something to behold. It really rocks. And, his accessories---the man knows how to style it, that is for sure. OMG--he had his hair pulled back from his face like the "Play that Funky Music" performance and he looks so much like Elvis, it is uncanny. Gorgeous!!

I made a poster sign that said "Adam Rocks." It was glittery and had acrylic diamonds on it so when the light hit it, it sparkled! Smiling A few people liked it so much that they asked to take a picture of it! LOL! I only put up my sign a few times so I didn't hog the view of Adam for people behind me, but I'm pretty sure Adam saw it during his performances considering it was directly in his line of vision when he was center stage. Smiling

During the last group performance of "Don't Stop Believing," I managed to make my way to the front with my sign. I caught Adam's attention and he looked IN MY DIRECTION TWICE!! Even from the stage, you can see how beautiful his eyes are!! OMG, I felt like such a fangirl! I couldn't stop smiling at him!! LOL His last outfit was awesome. I loved the sequence on the back of his vest and boots.

My only disappointment of the night? I did not get to meet Adam after the show or get his autograph. Sad I waited squished against the barricade (just behind this lady, but my hand was on that fence the whole time, hanging on for dear life!) for an hour and 30 or so minutes. Adam came out about 11:45 or so, but on the other side. He was only 5 min. away from coming my way, but his handlers took him back to the bus before he could make it all the way round! Sad Talk about a disappointing heartbreak for myself and the tons of other people who were standing in my area. The autograph session was not by the buses, but outside of a fenced in area of the club that is in the arena. I didn't realize that I was all the way on the end, or I would have moved. I got autographs from most of the other idols, but not Adam---the one I REALLY wanted.

THE IRONY: my resourceful hubby, who was on the outside of the line went over to where Adam was and managed to get some pics and video. I didn't even realize he was gone because I was all the way in the front being squished by the mob of people beside me--not fun for a short lady! He came back and said "is this what you wanted?" All of us who were standing there started screaming excitedly! LOL Everyone said how lucky I was to have such a wonderful husband.

My hubby really made the night as special for me as he could. You have to understand that he only tolerates my Adam obsession, but he surprised me with awesome tickets for my birthday. I'm also way impressed with him because he managed to take videos with one camera and pics with the other at the same freakin time for the most part--I kid you not! He stood out there with me after the show and managed to get pics and a video of Adam for me. He even came with me to try and see the buses after Adam left. We walked all around and did see the buses at the very last minute when they were fixin’ to turn onto the highway. I'm really bummed about not meeting Adam, but I could not be more happy about the whole concert experience. I am so grateful to my hubby for making this such a positive experience for me all around! Smiling

Edited to add: I should probably mention that my hubby shares Adam's birthday--1/29! They may both be visionaries and humanitarians, but otherwise, they are like night and day, or so it would seem! Laughing out loud

Pics:
Here's a link to my photobucket album of pics. I don’t have WLL and Starlight pics because I had the other camera then and didn’t take a single freakin’ pic. I was too busy ogling Adam. Good thing my hubby took the 2nd camera from me at that point or I would have zero pics! Enjoy!
Photobucket Album

Videos:
WLL - the first few seconds are missing because I got so excited, I bumped my husband's arm and made him accidentally stop recording. But the rest of the jaw dropping, sexy performance is there.

Starlight - ummm...this one is a little wavy sometimes--you'll see what I mean. I must have gotten in the way too much-hehehhe--sorry!

Madworld - this one's nice!

Slow Ride - awesome!

Bowie Medley - awesome! Oh My....

Post Show Autographs - short, but nice

Buses leaving - yes, we went to look for them and did find them as they were leaving. There were three buses total. My first thought was that there were only supposed to be two buses, but then my hubby reminded me about the crew members. (Remember, I was tired and pre-occupied with missing Adam after the show)

Enjoy! Smiling

EDITED TO ADD: I think I got the photobucket link working right as a public link, but let me know if you have any problems getting to the photos.

The pics and videos were super! Doesn't matter how often I see Adam perform, I can ALWAYS watch him again!!! Each performance is new and fresh and hot, sexy Adam!!! Laughing out loud

.

Thanks Teris! Smiling

Glad you enjoyed them Proud Glambert/Nelinj I cannot stop watching the Bowie Medley that my husband took. It's so clear and Adam is so great!

I've showed all my friends and my sister; they all watched the video you posted. They love them. My sister says that the Dallas show sounds like the best concert yet!! Your videos are amazing. You pics are great too.

I can't believe just how much work you put in just so all of us could see them. Plus yourreview is awesome!!!

Thank you so much!! Dallas is cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I saw the show in San Jose, and Adam was remarkable. It is so amazing that the majority of the crowd is so excited about him, and not any other of the performers.

ooi

glad you enjoyed them. Smiling

Thank you so much for sharing your experience at the Concert with all of us! And for sharing with us your pics and vids!

REALLY APPRECIATE IT! Smiling

.

eve123--thank you! Glad you enjoyed them. My hubby did a nice job and I keep telling him that over and over again. Smiling

madamadam - I can totally relate. He's completely mesmerizing! Smiling

Happy belated birthday! I am glad you had a great time.

Now, I have visual of what I saw! Your hubby really is the best! I wish I had someone there to do video for me...I forgot all about doing video....I barely got any good pics, I was just so enthralled by Adams performance!

the times to watch are 1:20 (every inch) 2:09- (mic stand) and 2:29 where Adam does an awesome spin and his coat fans out--pretty cool! Smiling

I doubt mine will do anything like that. Ugh! You should hear the evil things he's plotting to embarrass me! I'm hoping he's all talk. But if men's red underwear gets thrown on stage in Newark on the 8th, you know it will be my husband.

Loved your pictures by the way!! Thanks for posting everything!!

Teris, glad you enjoyed the slow ride--I think the lighting was helpful to the qualify of the vid. Smiling

These uploads are taking forever! I'm pooped so I'm off to bed.

The quality of the video is really great - and since you all were in seats so close to us, it's like being there again. HOW COOL!!! Thanks so much to both you and your husband!

LOL! No worries. I could barely hear myself with all the screaming and I'm sure that was the case for everyone. Smiling

Thanks again for the glowsticks. That was so nice of you!! Smiling

Of course my sister and I were the two really nice Adam fans - we just weren't very nice to eachother. Giving you the two little glowsticks was actually self-serving, since I couldn't hold onto all the stuff I had. The lady I kept bopping on the head (with the glowsticks) was two seats down from your husband, so no, it wasn't you! I need to find out where Jasmine was sitting - so as to relieve my mind that I wasn't being an obnoxious obstructor right in front of her.

LOL--you are so funny! I remember two really nice Adam fans sitting one row behind and to the right of us. One of them gave me two blue glow sticks just before Adam's set because my glow bracelets started fading. Was that you?? Oh! I sure hope I wasn't the woman you described blocking your view with her glowsticks! Although I stood most of the time and didn't get bonked on my head so maybe not.... LOL! Bless your heart, you were multi-tasking, weren't you? Smiling Glad you had a great time.

And, no, I did not notice Jasmine. I'll ask my hubby to see if he remembers. I was already making my way up the stairs to exit just after the group song so I probably wasn't around when you saw the lady you mentioned.

What a night! It went by way too fast. I was just re-reading bowchicka and stolen-for-adam's recaps in the castle thread. They actually met Drake before the show in the bar. Then they met Adam after the show! Both had pretty amazing stories to tell!

Update on vids: I'm trying to figure my way through windows media encoder so I can reduce the file size of my vids to make the the uploads more manageable. I'm a novice to this software so it's way frustrating! AArgh!

Your posts are so funny. That's all we need to do is to start dropping our glow sticks at the concert (cuz yep, we'll have cell phones, glow sticks, binoculars, purses, sodas, who knows what all else!)...my brother in law will kill us. But I am ready for action on 8/8 in Newark!!!!

(I'm gonna get our game plan for the glow sticks in place; gonna tell my sister your dropping problemos!) ..Thx for your tres funny posts!

I didn't have time go into this on my previous post on this thread, but do you know where Jasmine was sitting during the concert? Before the concert, there was an older lady who was having trouble find her seats - she thought they were right behind my sister in row 9; however, after we looked at the chair numbers, this turned out to be wrong and she moved away - I didn't see where she went and I didn't look at her tickets. When Jasmine appeared at the end of our row at the end of the concert (with people wanting to take pictures with her), with the older lady accompanying her, I wondered if they were seated together somewhere near us. Did you see where they were (or where Jasmine was) sitting? I hope it wasn't right behind me (cringe), because I'm sure I would have obstructed their view - both are tiny.

I hope you have a great time at your concert! I suggest that you go in with a set plan if you have any multitasking to do during the concert. And hang on to your glowsticks. I dropped mine at least a few times during the second half of the concert due to the aforementioned juggling of tasks and items. The reason I wasn't more upset with the woman waving her glowstick in front of me (blocking my camera shots) was because I figure it was Karma. Because she was sitting down more than I was, I accidentally bopped her on the head numerous times during the show with my camera, my glowstick, and even with my protruding stomach. It seems like I was apologizing to her constantly. If I had been in my right mind, I would have been embarrassed.

A great story of your concert night and wonderful photos.

I enjoyed your story

Beautiful...very cool! Oh my, Adam definitely saw it...wow!!! Preeeetttyyyyy!!!! Even in the pic, I could see all those diamonds all over it, plus the blue was great!!!

Thx for the pics and the review---awesome!

It wasn't rhinestones, but acrylic diamonds. Laughing out loud If you look at the pic link I posted, it should be there with the other pictures.

It sounds beautiful. I bet it did shine when the lights hit it! Wow, I bet Adam did notice it....very cool!

Plus you on the cell with your sister at home---funny!!! That's how my sister and I watched Idol together...via cell phones with each other!!! Plus your conversation with your sister, going back and forth about who had the disposable camera--too funny for words!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be at the Prudential center in Newark, NJ 8/8 with my sister and niece and her friend, and my brother in law...how many funny fights will we have!?! Plus, we all have blue glow sticks!!!

But, It'll be my 'Michael Jackson' screams that everyone will hear for Adam!

The good thing is....
You still need to meet him and can look forward to that until it happens.
Maybe by your husbands hands. This is kingrusky by the way. banned twice I'm forced to use my wifes account. Hubby's can be cool when they know how much their loved ones want something!

Your hubby is a sweet man and your pics are fantastic. So clear. Thank you for sharing all with us!

I know how special being there is to everyone. I haven't gone yet another week and a half but I know I am going to cherish every minute of Adam.

the STAR of the night was your huband, he deserves a wholelottalove (**if you know what I mean, WINK)
I'll come back for the videos, thank you so much for sharing!

it sounds like you have a very special TwinsDad!!!!!!!!!!! You go Girl. It is so nice to have a supportive spouse. You are a lucky mom.

Thanks for your report. It sounds wonderful. I had good seats in Tacoma, but not as great as yours. The pictures were wonderful!! I got his autograph, but I didn't get any great pictures. I guess it's a trade off.

My sister and I were sitting in the row behind you, slightly over to the right/center. We had such a good time!!! I really thought I'd enjoy only the second half of the show, but I loved the whole thing. I thought it was great that the people in the floor seats were so supportive of everyone and stood (and sang and cheered) pretty much throughout the whole concert - it kind of made you proud of the Texas crowd. Your pictures of Adam are wonderful. Ha, mine are horrible! First of all, I simply couldn't concentrate properly on taking photos while he was on the stage. My sister might have done better (less obsessed), but she was shorter and couldn't have gotten clear shots with all the arms holding up cameras. I had a glowstick waving person right in front of me (I don't blame her at all though), and I had to try to time my photo snapping to her waves. The result is that I have numerous photos of Adam; however, a giant hand with a glowstick appears in the frames with him, sometimes looking like he's going to be bludgened, and sometimes covering part or all of his person. Although this was disappointing, my sister and I later had to laugh and laugh about it. Also, during Adam's set, I have all these crazy pictures of the floor, the lady's head in front of me, the backs of people, even the ceiling lights! What was I doing?! Then, horror of horrors, my camera battery starting dying during WLL (NO WAY!), and my camera kept switching off. I had intended to change the battery (just in case) during the intermission and forgot (because I was talking to another sister on the phone - who then stayed on the phone to listen to the concert). It was all too much to coordinate in my overly excited state. So, I hope you didn't hear this, but, during Mad World, my sister and I were yelling at eachother in panicked annoyance (Give me the disposable camera! I don't have it! Yes you do it's in your purse! I can't find it! Hurry up, hurry up!!! Give me your purse, let me look!! Hold my camera! Just make the lady next to you hold your beer!), and bad language was used as well. Beer was sloshed, inadvertant pictures were taken, and the man sitting next to me was elbowed rudely several times. I have to comment that, in the end, I think the very cramped quarters of the floor seating, which made me very anxious, kind of added to the overall frenzy and excitement of the event for me. Anyway, I can't believe that my crazy OC camera behavior caused me to miss even small bits of Adam's performance; never-the-less, I had a truly wonderful time and consider it a once in a lifetime experience. I want to comment on or ask a few more things, but I have to go for now. Thank you so much for the great pictures. I think your husband is marvelous.

That is so cool that he made the effort to capture the moment the best he could for you. awww

Yeah I think Kris' set after Adams is awkward or I like to think of it as the cool down. I really dig 'Bright Lights' though.

it was because he did not have all the lights and stage support of the band and the back up singers. His set started out with his introductory lights, but then they pulled down a semi-transparent curtain so that the entire back of the stage was covered. Guess they were getting the equipment moved for the group performance.. Anyway, that coupled with Kris's muted outfit (white and brown plaid shirt w/jeans) and laidback style is probably what took away from his performance. And, that's why it seemed more of a jam session than a concert performance. They really should have remained consistent for Kris's set and given him the same opportunity as the other idols to shine....

.

@MsAlex - I'm honored for you to post my review and photoalbum link on your site. I just saw where you've posted them here Smiling Neat website you have there!

@CMR NewZealand - thanks so much for your thoughtful words. Smiling

@shadowley - I'm sorry you are not able to go to the tour concerts. I'm optimistic that Adam will do a solo tour in the not too distant future. He really is the real deal and the fan reaction is genuine. We can both look forward to this! Smiling

@lamberthoney - I asked my husband your question just now and he said "no comment" LOL

@sonnys-day - I'm sorry you missed him too. Guess we were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was near the door where Megan, Anoop, Danny, Michael and Kris came out. Scott and his brother, Todd; Alison, Lil, and Matt managed to get over there because they came out earlier, but Adam just didn't have enough time.

I was at the Dallas show also. My seat was good, but really not close enough to get any good pics. I also waited until the end of the show before heading outside. Sounds like you were in the same area I was standing. I had an angel wings sign that said "Adam" peace & angel on it. Also bummed that I didn't get an autograph as he was out for only a short time. But, I did get some pics with the others that came out in the afternoon. Your hubby is awesome!

I would love to share your review and album on my site http://www.mr-l.org
are you ok with this?

thank you wish i had a husband like yours! does he like adams music?

What a good fellow your husband is!!! There are some wonderful photos there - loved the one showing the back of the jacket - it looks fabulous. Also like the one with Adam and Alison standing together, almost back to back. The pictures capture colour and features really well.
This is just the beginning and somehow I feel there will be opportunity to attend further Adam concerts for you! I can only imagine a little of your disappointment and not meeting him and having a photograph signed personally for you - but something above was certainly looking after the situation because the person closest you was right there! And further, you mentioned Adam saw your sign and looked twice in your direction - I think some people might have not survived that if that had happened to them! You are so fortunate. I don't usually attend big concerts as such but if Adam comes to Australia or New Zealand I would definitely attend his concert! Thanks so much for sharing your experience - very much appreciated. Much cheer to you!

..your hubby sounds one in a million:)
