Sure, if you happen to see him driving down the road, you can do the same thing, but if the info's posted online, the whole world is privy to it, which means all the weirdos, stalkers, hackers, etc., can pounce. Kinda sad, actually. If his management is smart, they registered his vehicle to a business address, rather than his home.
