THANK YOU!! I want to thank everyone here who has been so encouraging and supportive, not just those who have donated money or time. Many of you kept our thread bumped or sent us important information. Thanks to all of our team members, including donors, we more than exceeded our original goals! Woo hoo! More than 9,000 students were directly helped by what you did. Collectively, we raised $13,123 with 44 donors and helped fund 80 school projects.

MISSION: Here is our mission statement and we intend to continue to focus on this objective:
"Help raise funds and support organizations that help socially isolated young people identify their unique gifts and develop positive relationships. We will provide 100% of all profits of funds raised to the selected and identified charitable organizations."

UPDATE: We want to update you on our plan for the future. Below is a summary of our plans for the short-term, but we are still developing specific plans for the long term.

A. PRIZE WINNERS: We are still waiting to hear from DonorsChoose.org before we officially announce the winners of our prizes. We pretty much know who they are but they have asked us to wait. I hope that we can do this Monday but it has taken a while to both coordinate with Adam’s schedule and to get all pre-competition money counted toward the right team as some people started donating too soon.

B. SHORT-TERM: We will continue to support DonorsChoose.org at least in the immediate future through fundraising efforts. We will do focused efforts at specific times, such as his solo tour and other special events, but we definitely will keep our DonorsChoose giving page updated and encourage everyone to give when they can. C. LONG-TERM: For the longer term, we are looking at options to support programs that more directly reach young people ages 10-18 who need better access to arts & music programs and/or mentoring programs that use arts & music to reach out to them. Our goal is to focus more specifically on young people who feel like they don't fit in or who may not have the finances to participate in such programs.

D. SUGGESTIONS: We invite suggestions from others as we work on our plans for the future. You may think of things that we are not exploring because we do not know about them. We may not be able to go in that direction, but we will definitely give a thorough look.

E. WEBSITE: We will continue to keep our website updated too, so look for activities and new opportunities there: http://www.glamberts4kids.org We will include an updated list of projects funded through DonorsChoose or other programs.
