I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...
I am a veteran teacher of 21+ years who has seen many, many charismatic performers in my lifetime, but Adam has something beyond description --- an appeal for all age groups and for people with varied tastes in music. My 6th grade students love Adam, too, so every week of Idol 2009 we would compare notes the day after Adam's performance and strangely enough we had basically the same opinion and felt that Adam is the consummate entertainer. What has been so strange is that though the kids didn't know some of the songs that Adam sang, they said it didn't matter because as one young man put it,"Adam can make ANY song cool!" I agree with him. Adam you are definitely the bomb! You were robbed on Idol. Kris seems nice but his talent is pedestrian compared to yours... and this is coming from someone who grew up in Conway. In a year, I doubt anyone will remember his name, while you will still be challenging yourself and pushing the envelope. You are an original in every sense of the word. I think you may actually be better off without being named the 2009 Idol because you don't need the constraints they would put on you, anyway. Just get something out there soon for all of us die-hard fans because I'm already starting to suffer Adam Withdrawal pains! You rock!
Ok I'm getting bummed out and can't figure out what's going on right now with the charts! Here's the deal --- Adam just dropped to #22 on Mediabase, while Kris is still up another spot to #15 and Orianthi moved up a spot to #4, yet Adam is still picking up spins and his music vids have gone off the charts for # of views! Plus he's gotten a lot more exposure recently with the AOL Sessions and all the concerts and so forth, so what's up with the radio stuff? Plus his sales aren't carrying him up anymore. On Billboard he's still sitting at the #35 spot and hasn't budged!!read more »
