why just once, almost everywhere else you have been a million times. i love adams music, and it inspires me. many thanks to adam. ^_^
i just hope he comes back to michigan again so i can go to his concert and maybe meet him (the V.I.P tickets are what i get), instead of watch it on tv.
Adam i look up to you as a brother, n i will 4ever be a fan of you and your phenomenal music.
Myself and two friends got to the concert hall at about 5:30ish and got into the VIP line at the hall, which actually seemed to look longer than the regular line (though I have a feeling it got longer the closer to 8pm it got). My friend and I were standing in line, feeling completely out of place- we were pretty much the only ones dressed for the show. I was wearing skinny jeans, flats with studs, a studded belt, my hair done and my makeup totally Adam Lambert-inspired. The placement of the line was great! We were by a bunch of the buses and saw Allison come out and go to her sound check. Longineu came out and signed autographs and took pics with people in line and we saw Tommy go between the venue and the buses a few times. It was really cool to see the preparations going into the concert. From where we were standing, we could hear the soundchecks for Allison and Orianthi through the open doors of the hall! At one point in the evening, an exercise bike was taken from the hall and packed into one of the buses...we wondered who's it was.
We had a great time in line! We met these ladies from Michigan and Arizona and they were a riot! They were a lot of fun to talk to and it really helped to pass the time before we were allowed in!
When we got into the hall, we fought for our spots in the hall, at the top of the stairs in the right side of the theatre. My friends and I aren't the tallest people out there (the tallest only being 5'4) so we had to make sure we were elevated so we could see. It was the same method we used to see Lady Gaga the previous year, and out plan worked perfectly once again!
The concert was absolutely AMAZING! Even though I had seen YouTube videos of the tour along the way, I was still not ready for it! I was so blown away! One thing my friend pointed out to me was that Adam and the rest of the band all looked slimmer than they do in videos and pictures from before the tour. Adam completely blew my mind. I mean, I knew he was totally amazing, but DANG! that man can sing! Hearing him live is NOTHING compared to the videos online. I was so upset when the concert was over! I wished it would never end! I would do it over and over again!
After the show, we were walking back to the parking garage, when we noticed a ton of people waiting near a bus on the other side of the concert hall. Coincidentally, it was Adam's bus =) We decided to wait and see what we could see. We stood on the opposite side of the street from the bus and crowd of people. We watched as the dancers left the hall and got on the bus after waving at everyone. Longineu came out soon after and crossed the street and signed autographs and shook hands (mine included in those). He was really cool to talk to. It was sort of annoying and kind of funny that when he was crossing the street to come see us, a car slowed down as it passed and the driver (with his window down) looked at Longineu and said "Who the f**k is this guy!?" and drove away!
After a while, Adam came out, and stopped just before he got in the bus and smiled and waved and thanked people. My friends and I were literally under 30 feet away. It was the perfect view. After Adam got on the bus, he opened the blinds on part of the tour bus (the side faceing our side of the street) and did a cute little grin, waved and blew kisses at all of us on our side of the street. My friends and I were SUPER content with that, because there were only a handfull of us that witnessed it. We decided to head back to the car to drive back home. As we left we heard a scream and I turned around to see that we had just missed Tommy come out of the theatre and was signing autographs.
Once we got back across the border, my friends and I decided to get food because we were smart and hadn't eaten before the concert. My friend driving strategically picked a restaurant that we could see the tour busses drive by on their way to Toronto for then next day. We found out later through Monte's Twitter that they hadn't crossed the border until 4am.
This is one night that I know I will never forget! Adam Lambert has blown every single other concert I have been to out of the water! I can't wait to see what he'll come up with the next tour he has!
Ok so we loved it! Adam's performance was outstanding. The crowd had a great time, especially during Sure Fire Winners, Strut, Music Again and If I Had You. Great picks on the songs to do. The only thing we noticed is we felt like WWFM was a little rushed? Anyway, the dancers and the band were a total blast as well. Got pictures of Tommy and the drummer outside the theatre- very fun!
I brought my 10 year old daughter and I was completely comfortable with the show for any age- thanks so much! May have to try to go again if there are any locations with tickets available?
oh. my. gosh. this concert was the best concert i have EVER been to in my life. absolutely astounding<3 adam sounded spot on and belted out hight notes like you wouldnt believe. he was at the top of his game and gave a performance of a life time. this man is unbelievable<3 just amazing..
I was there tonight and you rocked the house Adam. Loved every minute of it. You are such an awesome entertainer. Hope to see you back in this area really soon.
Will be going here...but need to know if VIP tickets are a MUST? I will be getting the regular GA, just need to know if there is not a bad seat (or place to stand) in the house. I am petite (another word for short) and worry about being able to see gorgeous Adam...

I could not find Adam's performance scheduled on the Royal Oak Theatre website. And when I click on 'Tickets' I get an error 'Page Not Found'.
